View Xbox 1 Hard drive Content On Pc

How do I do this? I transferred some files to there the other day as a temporary backup while my external drive was being repaired, now when I turn it on, the x3 chip light doesnt turn on. How do I access the drive on my pc via external enclosure and copy them back over to my pc? I can't remember if it was unlocked or not.

Hi,
If its unlocked you should be able to see the contents on your pc with xplorer 360

Has the chip stopped working - can you FTP and see the contents ?

I think so, when I turn it on it goes to the official ms dashboard.

Before I found that teh connection was intermittent, if I turned it on and it did this, I would simply give the xbox a little slap and the chip would function again.

Yup sounds like a loose connection mine messed about a while back - it was just a case of giving it a wiggle (mines on a pin header), can you boot into the chip? ie X3 lets you boot into itself if you hold down the clear button on start up.

It's a 1.6b. I'll first try to connect the hard drive to my laptop, if it's unlocked I'll be able to get it off there safe and sound.

I will have a look on the motherboard and see if the d0 wire has come off. I hope I dont have to solder anything, my skills arent good enough to be able to solder something like a wire onto a tiny point like that.

Ah, theres no D0 on those 1.6 boards

Like Huxley`s, make sure its seated firmly on the pin header - if its on a solderless xapt3r see that the `pogos` are in contact with the holes in the LPC port

The chip was wire installed. So no solderless adapter in my machine. I remember choosing not to do that because people said the slightest knock would move it out of place, forcing you to open it up again.

weird i got more help here than on xbox-scene

I tried moving the chip around and it still doesn't work. The LED on the chip itself lights up blue when I turn it on.

I don't think I can, usually, when I load from the chip, instead of having the microsoft symbol appear under the X, it has another image. Now, it loads the microsoft symbol. After, it loads to the original mocrosoft dashboard.
