Has anyone got a spare xBox DVD drive knocking about?

My old xBox (Sep 2002 build date) died a few weeks ago with an "11" error message and im hoping its just the DVD drive that's died of old age.

I can pay postage of course and a little something extra for anyone's much appreciated time and effort.

Hello,
Have you tried a different IDE cable ?
Its rare, unless you have fried some part of the DVD drive, for the actual DVD drive to be the cause of an error 11.
I have a few xbox DVD Rom drives, all working but with disc read errors, your welcome to one of them for the cost of postage .... I can just send the PCB part of it that the IDE connector plugs into if you want to keep postage to a minimum.
(Is it called a logic board ? ....... If it gets your xbox to boot then you could just swap it with the faulty one in your drive)

Replacement drive are getting hard to find these days so I’ve been buying the odd whole unit for spares from Gamestation, they have the odd one in every now and again so you just got to keep an eye out, but when they do there only £15 and that includes a 12 month warranty!

They also have the odd IR remote for 99p
