Voice chat

I was just wondering how do you turn off voice chat when playing a match on xbox live. I can here other people chatting to each when playing and its doing my head in

any way to turn it off?

if you have a wired headset then at the bottom of the bit that plugs into the contoller there is a wheel turn it all the way towards the minus and if you have a wireless than i tink the only way to turn off the volume is press the large x on the contoller go on to chat and im and as im not on the xbox i cant remember exactly what to do but i beleive its pretty self explanatory from there on.

you hear them through your speakers?... yeah press the guide button (big one in the middle) and if you look around in the options there you should be able to mute the chat.. or you could mute annoying people individually by selecting thier gamertags from the lists in the lobbys or ingame..
Otherwise get yourself into games with forum members... normally all a bunch of cool people and its worth being sociable with the chatting sometimes.. can make for some very funny games!
