Forza - where do all the idiots come from?

I love Forza but I find that when I am playing it online in an evening the only people I get to share a track with are Yankee Doodle Dickheads. Last night they all moaned that I picked a tuned RS4 in class A around the Nurburgring and when I was in 2nd place they moaned that it was too big to pass...I told them to drive with a bit of skill and they would pass but I wasn't going to pull over for them...anyway the guy in 1st place braked sharply on a long straight and I ploughed into the back of him breaking my engine.

"That got rid of the Audi" he said...unfortunately the two guys behind me hit the rear of my car and both broke their cars too, which made me laugh...but they started blaming me saying that if I hadn't been in the Audi it wouldn't have happened...I was in 2nd place!!!!!! What was the issue? It's not as though I was driving badly or anything...

This is just one in a number of poor experiences I have had online with this game...over the last week I think I have had only 2 good races and about 15 which have been full of American arseholes crying about one thing or another...

I'm not a brilliant driver but I am pretty quick and clean with it. Are there any decent races to be had? I don't have many friends to join up with because I have not been on Live for all that long either...

Basically I love the game but hate the community.

Re: Forza - where do all the idiots come from?

Hey, I first used live this morning and tested out a few games, on r6:lv I got some american guy banging on that I was hiding behind walls....which is far from the truth, I was running around getting killed and not knowing what the hell I was doing. Immedietly it just felt really elitist, and that I will never be able to compete with these jobless, girlfriendless types, and made me think about life - should i quit my job, dump my girlfriend and play games all day?...as fun as that may be. damn.

Anyway if you want add me Munki Madz is my id thingy, Im on between 8am-11am tomoz.

P.S. nothing against americans, just the ones encountered were 'jerks'.

This is a familiar story unfortunately, and not just in Forza. These pre-pubescent yanks have obviously drunk too much coke and are in some sort of dodgy mental state. Best try sticking to play with people you know off here. Thats what I do and its far more rewarding

Yeah that's the thing...I don't really hang around in this section of the Forum too much so don't know too many of you guys either...should I start a "I have Forza and don't mind being added to your friends list" thread for people to post in? Or is there already one of those somewhere?

If you do you could add me... I've not played online with Forza yet as I've not had it long.

Re: Forza - where do all the idiots come from?

Good idea, if we create a list of people who want fair racing and non trash talk, i think it will go down well, i stay offline alot cos i never know if i'll get decent people to play with.

There maybe a list already, check the LIVE forum.

Re: Forza - where do all the idiots come from?

You get it in all aspects of online gaming
It's not just the Americans either. A good few times I've joined a random player match in Gears full of teenage Brits. I had to leave quite quickly after their hilarious antics

Re: Forza - where do all the idiots come from?

I'm going through the single-player mainly before I get online with it (although I've had a few races).

I'll send a few friends request because I too hate the usual smash-up at the first corner / abuse / no driving skill, etc...

Some like-minded people in the same lobby, with some decent rules (like all using the same car, etc) and I have no doubt that you'll love it.

I'll send out some FR's now

Me too - I'm always up for some good clean racing. Doesn't mean I'm any good though, just that if I do hit you, it wasn't on purpose!

Ditto.... My experiences on Live are pretty poor, not just americans either, remeber getting the p*ss ripped by a bunch of fellow geordies then kicked for no good reason (other than they could).

But I don't know anyone on the 360 forums, usually mooch around the HiDef forums.

So please, anyone who wants, add me into their friends list, I'm really easy to beat, honest!

I start up games quite often, would be nice to have some more regular racers . Just mind Jay's driving, he's somewhat erratic! (Apparently drives like that in real life).

I'm already bored, I really want to like the game but when I drive round the tracks it just doesn't grab me. Just seems very flat and lifeless.

We had some good races without you . Some very good races, few collisions but I think all accidental. (I had a 100+mph collision with another R1 car, he slammed his brakes on when I moved to overtake.. wrecked my car and put me down to third ).

I think the 7 laps on Nissan Speedway with R1s was the closest race I've had on Forza so far, racing with Gashead(7-something) - Identical fastest lap times, we switched position quite a few times with no collision until the very last corner (only a slight tap) and finished with 00:00.024 between us! If the finish line had been about a metre furthur along I would have had him!

I won't be around this weekend, but rest assured more races will be up next week!

I'm going to be a little controversial here and state that I find, on the whole, that the Brits are worse than the Americans.

Apart from the little over-opinionated yank kids (I'm talking 9-12ish here) I find a lot of the American guys to be pretty decent, Yanks tend to have good people skills and I'll often hear 2 Americans just simply chatting pleasantly about where they live or what games they like, I never hear Brits do that.

However, I am constantly cringing in embarrassment at some British guy whinging and moaning non-stop in some annoying voice and taking the whole thing FAR too seriously ... and also, word of advice, if your gonna insult some American on Live, do it well or don't it at all.
