What's next?

I am in need of some help and advice off you lot.

I have been given online vouchers for a game and have no idea what to get next.

The two games I have played to death are GOW and COD3 so these are the type of game I like.

No sports games and no boring sneaky sneaky ones that take half an hour between kills.

I welcome any suggestions because if it is left to me I will end up buying some crap!

Cheers,
Ted.

Re: What's next?

I seriously suggest you at least try the Marketplace demo of Overlord. It's not to everyone's tastes (and may not be for you if you're after a FPS) but i think it's looking excellent and it might get overlooked by many.

Re: What's next?

Downloaded that one last night and am yet to try it.

Not strictly looking for a fps and I will certainly look at all games suggested.

Re: What's next?

Sorry, i've just noticed we're in the Live section of the forum. Were you after a game strictly for online? If so then i don't even know if Overlord has Live gameplay but i'd doubt it.

Re: What's next?

Live play would be good but not essential.

I've asked mods to move it. Didn't mean to post it here.

Re: What's next?

I recommend everyone at least tries Oblivion. If it doesn't catch you then fine, but if it does then your in for 100+ hours.

Personally i never thought i'd enjoy Rainbow 6:Vegas as much as i am. It's tactical but it's certainly not as stealth reliant as the Ghost Recon games. Again i'd recommend at least renting it.

Re: What's next?

I'd second the endorsement of RB6V Captain Ted. Not only is it excellent single and multiplayer but is a nice balance between out and out shooting and a little stealth thrown in with great team AI (unlike GoW) in single player.

I really enjoyed the few times I played this on-line (loads of modes including co-op terrorist hunt) and new maps are now available so even better.

The weapons sound and feel brilliant, the only gripe would be that the graphics are a little basic but after playing GoW a lot of games look a little lacking

Re: What's next?

Hi Ted, Don't laugh too loud but I would recommend Lego Star Wars 2. I bought this my kids (o.k I admit I also wanted to play it being a star wars fan) but I find it a really good change from GOW and the whole homour side of the game is fantastic. Enjoy!
