Getting your live friends to show on the PC

I've just downloaded and installed Live Messenger to have a play with, and I can send messages from the 360 to people fine. I can't make my friends list appear on the PC though. I thought this was possible, and there's even a tab for it in messenger. Am I being a bit dense again?

Just thinking about this i think if you add someone by their gamertag they will only show on your 360 but if you were to add their email address through MSN then they will appear on both.

If someone you added this way if one of them were to strat playing while you were on MSN it would say somthing like Daymouse (Playing GOW 360)

If not you can always got to www.xbox.com sign in, from here you can see whos online you cane message aswell plus more have a look!!!
