I'm stuck with Pipex for the next 2 months (have had a payment dispute with them over the last 7 months but will be finished by the end of July) and will probably change ISP after that. I know what you mean Viru - It is a shame as I've been with them for over 4 years and never had a problem but since they started their Hoff adverts and new pricing structure their customer service has gone downhill big time IMO

On average 5.5 mb wireless, 6.5 mb wired - ran some speed tests on the PC.
Anyway, I've had a bit of a fiddle, and I've tried a wired connection from the router to the 360 via ethernet again and have been playing GOW for the last hour without lag

I then switched to the wireless adaptor, only 5 feet away from the router, and it began lagging again! It appears then that the adaptor is faulty - I've tried it in the front usb ports as well just to make sure the rear usb port wasn't broken but still got lag.
I bought the adaptor from Game and still have the receipt - do you think they will exchange it without checking that it may be faulty first? Especially as I don't know for a fact myself that it is broken.
