Cheap Xbox live 12 months!

Just seen this on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MESE:IT

Seems to be the cheapest way of getting online or saving paying M$ £40!. A friends recently got one and the code was emailed within minutes of payment.

you don't need to cancel your account, just get the code and add it onto the end of your current subscription. its automatic

My mate just entered the code into his 360 and it extended his subscription by 12 months so its easier than leaving it roll over and having microsoft charge you another £40!

That eBay auction isn't a very good deal tbh - there are usually places discounting the various Xbox1 starter kits, so you can get an original xbox game, 12 months subscription code (which works with your 360 account) and an original xbox headset for less than that auction. And you can always sell the headset/game on eBay...

For example, Play have the PGR2+12 months Live pack back in stock for £24.99.

thats fine if you have time but my mate was 2 days off being charged £40 from M$ so £28.99 is cheaper and instant. Plus he couldnt be bothered selling the game that may not sell because nobody wants old xbox games

But I see your point. If you have time to wait for play then its a better deal

Toys R Us may be worth checking out. Last time I went in there they had 12 month live subscriptions bundled with various games (forza, halo 2, fifa 2005 etc) none of them were more than £29.99.

Yes it will work, all original XBox Live Starter Kits work fine with the 360, its only the 3 month trial codes you got free with certain XBox games that need to be registered on an XBox and then transfered to the 360.

brought mine from HMV, Buy one get one free about a month ago

Sold the PGR and headset on ebay for £10, then sold the extra one to a m8

so £40 turned into around £10 for 12 months.

If they bill £40 to your card you can claim it back as long as you dont leave it too long. I forgot about the renewal last time and the charged £40 to my card, I got a cheap offer from game a few days later to called the live helpline and said I'd got it as a birthday present etc. Within about a week the £40 had been refunded to my card.

I was told that if you put a voucher on yourself within a few days of them taking £40 the system automatically rufunds the card ?? Dont know if this is the case but it worked for me

Is it just the same concept to get the old XBOX LIVE subscription to work with the new 360? i.e. just scratch off the silver cover and enter the code?

Got a bargain of one in Paris. 30euro with Pro Evolution 5! Funny thing is that Pro Evo 5 was 59.50euro on it's own! So that's me sorted for the next year, and a decent game to boot!

And to top it all off, when I got home and put in Pro Evo, it turns out that it's completely in English

Lucky chap. I asked and they scanned them at £59.99! Is this a country wide thing or just chester? as the website still lists them at £59.99

It seems like the HMV offers are sporadic, I picked up the Forza pack for £14.99 a few weeks back.
