Cheap xbox360 live gold subscription at Currys

Thought i would give people a heads up on a 12months live sub for £14.97 at Currys stores.

Basically they have the HALO 2 live pack with headset and 12 month sub for £14.97.

Dont forget that the live sub will work on XBOX360.

Could work out even less if you sell the pack on or part exchange it etc.

They had loads at the Currys store at Merthyr Tydfil, RCT.

1 will have a look tommorrow on my way to work.

You can have them cost price ie £15.00

I will try to work out the postage costs - it would be even cheaper if all you want is the subscription card.

If you already have an Xbox Live membership then you cannot use a trial code to extended it. Trial codes are for new memberships only. However if you use a trial code to create a new account then you can extend that by using a normal subscription.

Does this count with the 360 gold trial? I am using my one month trial but want to extend it with my 12 month sub, but I don't want to lose my trial month.

Also, I'll have a 12 month sub if you are getting them from currys.

Does this still work on the 360? Has anyone tried extending their membership with a sub code on the 360?

I've used it before on the xbox and it works a treat, I just hope MS haven't tried to make life difficult for extending subs.

I've currently got the 1 month Gold Trial. Will this pack extend that out by 12 months?

XBox 360 12 Month Gold for £19.99 at GAME!

I have just bought an XBox Live Starter pack with 12 month subscription, XBox headset (also works on 360) and some online demos (Rainbow Six 3, Outrun 2 and Fifa 05) for £19.99 from GAME; a special offer going on at the moment when you buy XBox 360 stuff.
The 12 month subscription DOES work on XBox 360 even after you've tranfered your account over, so is basically 12 months of Gold membership. Worth it even if you throw away the demos and headset.

If I use my 12 month sub now will I lose my 1 month free trial or will it extend it?

Yes! It will just extend it from the expiry date of your current subscription (even if it is trial) and add another 12 months on. I believe you can use many trial periods in a row but once you've got a proper membership you can't then use a trial after that.

I'll see if they still have any of these when I pick up GRAW on Friday, as I can't find any of the £14.97 ones anywhere. It would have been worth buying a couple at that price, you can store up to three years of subscription on the 360.

Mine runs out soon, so I'm cutting it fine if I have to end up ordering online (£34.99).

Try Toys R Us. I got Halo 2 Starter pack (headset + 12 months gold sub) for £19.99 although they are priced now at £29.99 and still were when I checked earlier this week.

Do you accept interest free payments

I really should get myself a sub before it's too late!

I went to Toys R Us tonight and they had the Fifa 2005, Halo 2 and Forza Motorsport Starter Kits for £29.99, so I bought the Forza one as I have searched everywhere to find it cheaper.

I will sell the game and headset, so should be able to recoup some of the cost.

If I use the code before my current one expires, does it start when that ends or does it start straight away, thus losing the remainder?

Im sure it works the same way as a top up.

So you'll get whats left and 12 months on top of that.

Ie if you just started a months trial you would effectivly get 13 month.

Are the 12 month live subs that come with games like rainbow six, project gotham etc classed as trial subs or are they mainly the 1 or 2 month ones ?

I am a current live member and mine expires on 1/4. My xbox live sub was transferred to the 360 in december when it launched.

I just want to make sure I can buy one of these packs and the year sub will deffo work ????

Cheers
