In my house i have a main computer which is connected to my modem.

In my room, my computer is connected wirelessly to the modem and i connect my XBOX 360 to the computer via LAN.

To enable the internet connection to be used via the XBOX i have to use ICS.

Which works fine.

Then the internet no-longer works on my computer or on the XBOX and the XBOX gets a DNS error when i test the connection (it is succesfully connected to computer)

Any ideas?

I have changed IP adress and gateway etc and those work fine, it is just the DNS for which i get the error.

I have tried changing the DNS value manually on the XBOX (to correspond with computer values shown when 'ipconfic/all' is used in command console) as well as Automatically.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated, its just soo fustrating as i have been trying to get it to work for about 4 days now!!!

do you think it may be ebcause my ip address is conflicting?

i getr a message after i enable ics saying that a computer on this network already uses the ip address 192.168.0.1.

How can i fix this and is that it??
