Still have a strict NAT

Hi I have the router number - Zyxel - P-660HW-T1 v2

My ISP is Postoffice internet. I have opened ports 53, 80, 88 and 3074 for the Xbox. I have disabled UpnP and it still says restricted and when I enable upnp it's the same as well.

It's annoying as this router doesn't have DMZ. I get a strict NAT and it kicks me out of games and parties with friends randomly it's ridiculous.

I've gone on the Zyxel site and it says one way to make NAT open is to make the Xbox the default server in the portforwarding bit it says that in this document here - ftp://ftp2.zyxel.com/P-660HW-T3_v3/u...ide/P-660HW-T3 v3_3.70_Ed2.pdf

It's an absolute joke as I have no other router. Really annoyed. Please help.

Re: Still have a strict NAT

Try updating your router to the latest firmware then remove all it's forwarded ports and just try using the UPnP.

Re: Still have a strict NAT

From memory, make sure you've forwarded the ports AND enable/create firewall rules to allow those ports in and out to any IP.

Firewall is seperate from NAT routing on that router I think. You could turn the firewall off and still have good security with simple NAT routing.

I'm sure that is the same router as I've got in upstairs acting as a bridge over powerline adaptors. Its got NAT table issues but thats by the by in your case.

What do you mean simple NAT routing? Look at the Screenshot I've uploaded, I've just made this rule. 192.168.1.1 being the router, all the way to 192.168.1.33 (The Xbox)

Tried putting it on and it wouldn't let me. It just said "that file can't be uploaded"

EDIT: I've just turned the firewall off, you think that will help?
