Bear with me !

I'm getting an xbox for Christmas, but I'm not sure how to hook up for Live. From reading on here I understand that it's better to be wired straight from the xbox to my router. This means I'll need to move my router from the kitchen to the living room, which is no problem.

However, the telephone point in my living room already has sky connected to it.

So my questions is : Can I use an adapter to plug my router and my sky box into the telephone point in my living room, and will this be ok for Live to plug into my router using this set up ?

I hope this all makes sense.

Assuming you're using ADSL (ie. through the telephone line):

You need to use a microfilter on any phone point, and these have 2x outputs, one for connection to your ADSL modem/router and one a normal phone connection (to your Sky box).
