Help getting my friend connect to live please.

Hello my mate has a 360 and wants to get online. Now he has broadband and a wireless linksky router. But his router is down stairs and his 360 is upstairs. Now at the moment I have connect his 360 to his laptop so he is online now but I doesn't want to have is laptop on every time he wants to play on xbox live.

Now at the moment he doesn't have a lot of money so he can't afford one of them official xbox 360 wireless adapters. Now can anyone tell me where I can find a cheap pair of homeplugs for him for around £20-£25?

I found a belkin wireless G game adapter which people say works well with the 360 I found one for £20. But would this work with a wireless linksky router? If so are these belkin game adapters any good?

If it's USB no, if it's ethernet - which you'd assume it is, as it says "game" adapter - then yes
