Hey guys, wonder if anyone could help?
Basically ive been trying to connect to xbox live through my university network and its not allowing me. I have to connect through the ethernet connection from the wall to my macbook. Then i have to log in to the university network with a username and password. I have tryed connecting by using an ethernet swtich and linking my xbox with my laptop connection but that still isnt working. Wondering if anyone could help please???

It's possible you could use ICS or internet connection sharing. Not sure if it will work or not though. I never used it either with a Mac or PC so I can't help with how to configure it I'm afraid. If you do a Google search you will probably find some relevant information. Hopefully someone else here may have a similar set up and can be of more help.

You should be able to do it like the poster above said, using ics (internet connection sharing) or mac equivalent. If you get the sharing right then it should work, although there is the possibility that your uni may have blocked the ports that xbox live runs on meaning even if you did get the sharing to work, xbox live wouldnt.

The setup should go

Uni network > mac > xbox

So you mean connecting through my macbook? Well i asked the computer department and they said it isnt blocked in anyway, and my m8 can get on his ps3 online. just dont know what i can do.. help meee
