Trouble connecting Xbox 360 to Linksys WAP11

Hey,

I am staying temporarily in a flat, in my flat, there is a Linksys WAP11 wireless access point with MAC address filtering.

I gave the MAC address of the Xbox 360 to the receptionist so they could add it to the 'safe list'. I did this too with my laptop's MAC address and my laptop connects fine to the internet.

But my XBox 360 still will not connect to the access point like my laptop does, what can I do to make it work?

you could use a crossover cable from your laptop to your xbox

I was hoping not to do that, I am using a 360 wireless adapter.

Any other help?

Would an Ethernet cable from the access point to the 360 work?

It is just I am here temporarily, so I don't want to buy anything if someone can tell me what I need to on the networking side of things.
