Re: FCC - Season 3 - City Vote Thread

Tokyo, because it looks pretty at night.

At the risk of de-railing the thread - GT5P, any good from a PGR4 racers perspective (i.e. no tweaking please, lets just race) ? I'd ask in a more appropriate forum, but would only really trust FCC-ers opinions.

Of course if it's going to start a punch-up, just pretend I didn't ask

Re: FCC - Season 3 - City Vote Thread

Do it Mr Anderson! I've loved every minute of viewing on my 5000EX. It's so good I haven't even missed my Sim2 that blew up a year or more ago...

Anyway, shame I missed Season 2, I think that's the first season of FCC I've missed.

I vote St Petersburg for Season 3.

And no, GT5: P is no match for either PGR4 or Forza 2.

You can clatter along barriers and the best way to make up places is to barge along the inside; just like all the other GT games then...

Just a thought though, why have all the FCCs been on PGR4 and not Forza 2?

From a PGR4 perspective then GT5p is definately worth a go as the two, in my opinion (and controversially), are much more comparable this time around. It's forgiving on corners, collisions have no effect other than possibly a bit of lost time (although collisions can actually be used to enhance your position - and from online it does seem to be the GT way), looks as good as PGR4 (mostly look better tbh but nothing has blown me away as passing over the New York bridge does as yet). The AI is pretty weak but that is hardly a surprise although even that is far far FAR more preferable to the abortion that is online racing in GT5p... you think PGR can be a bloodbath at times but it is positively tame compared to the antics that GT racers pull in my, frustrating, experience and there is also a completely ridiculous catch up mechanic that renders any attempt at proper racing next to useless. Definately worth a go as a single player racer (assuming you have a PS3 but would not consider it grounds for buying) but until they give it a major overhaul forget about the online side.

I would love to see FCC on Forza 2 but suspect it would introduce a lot of headaches wrt tuning options, setups, power allowed etc

I think it's because pooon cant tune cars either that or for level playing field reasons, i'd personally love a Forza FCC. C Class round suzuka east

Re: FCC - Season 3 - City Vote Thread

Hey guys... I think I'm done with Forza completely..After playing GT5P I cant go back to Forza...Nothing in Forza that could make me put gt5 down..

But.. The pure fun factor of pgr4 will have me competing whenever the next FCC starts up..

Well, just caught up on this thread as I did do it!

What a deal too. I got tired waiting for John Lewis to price match the 508XD and thought I'd just go and get one with the promo 5yr warranty. So off to Hownslow (Digitech Electronics) last weekend it was. Returned home 2 hours later from hiring a van and picking it up.

I was then up and running about 30mins later when cynik turned up to help me get it out of the van.

Then, on Monday, I got a call from John Lewis offereing me a PM with Sound & Vision - shame, but then I'd have to find buyers for the speaker bar and swivel stand to get it down to the price I was wanted to pay!

Anyway, YES, it's phenominal compared to the 433MXE I first had. The blacks - well what can I say - sometimes it's difficult to tell where the image/screen ends and the bezel starts, mainly when there's some boarders in the image or bordered 4:3 content.

Well, I don't need to repeat what the "8G owners club" members have been saying for the last 698 pages in there mini-forum

So, now I've got my new panel, the new season's on hold

Any class of car will do, it'll just be a pleasure driving with a competitive goal! ...I think! ...maybe! Class E and a big long track might not be quite such a pleasure

Theres a weekly FCC type thing on GT5P over in the ps3 forum if anyone's after a bit of hot-lapping action.

Horrid car this week mind, spins out very easily.
