Anyone interested in a GHIII tournament?

NEW FORMAT IDEA!

Score Knockout Tournament

The tournament will be open to all formats (PS2/PS3/360/Wii/PC) and will be a knockout competition. Each round will be a specific song to get the highest score you can and will last for 7 days. The player with the highest score will progress to the next round. To keep it more competative, scores should be PM'd to me and the results will be revealed here.

Depending on how many sign up, there may be 4 tournaments running for each difficulty.

Rules:

Through the Fire And The Flames, One, and Raining Blood won't be included
You must sign up and play at the difficulty you are best and most comfortable at.
Fixtures and song choices for each round will be randomly generated.
Scores must be submitted via PM by 11.59 PM on the final day. If you haven't submitted a score, the other player will get a bye.
Scores MUST be submitted with some sort of proof.
Main Setlist and Bonus songs only

I would be well up for this, I managed to get 97% on through the fire and flames on Explert the other night.......... Just after I completed "Kick the Bucket" on GHII..... and before I shagged Kylie Minogue..... LOL

Everyone who's interested, could you reply with that difficulty you'd be playing at and what type of tournament you'd prefer i.e league or knockout. Whichever format gets the most 'votes' will be the one played.

Any difficulty is fine i would prefer expert though.

LoL Len, I think me and Codehead are hinting at the fact that we would be competative at all the MDIUM songs and most of the HIGH songs but would get our fat a$$e$ handed to us if we tried the Expert songs against seasoned strummers.

What song are you up to on Expert, Guns?

I've done "Stricken" in set 7 on Hard, but that's it for that set so far.
And I'm trying to beat Tom on Expert, but it's a bit bananas.

Im on the last set i only have two songs to do, Raining Blood and One ive been stuck on that set since the first weekend i got the game.

Hard for me.

As mentioned before I did the 'Rock Off!' for Guitar Hero II a while ago. Got a fair amount of interest, although Alun did win it every week.

The way I did it was giving people a week to get the highest score possible on a set song. That was basically it, the difficulty I chose was medium but I think people are better at GH then they were back then.

Maybe there isn't much interest because people don't check in here very often. I have only just seen it. Maybe advertise it a bit in the GH: Play and help threads?

That's what I was thinking of doing if I didn't get enough interest. Then it could be opened to all formats.

I've changed the format of the proposed tournament in the 1st post. Basically I've thought about opening it up to all formats so we should get a bit of interest.

Maybe the fact there's not much interest is due to there being tournaments you can enter on the GH website?

I enjoyed the GH2 "Rock off!", thanks MonkeyKnuckle! Even though Alun was far too good too quickly on that.

It really made me practise and therefore improve. I remember being astounded when I got 100% on "Hush" for week 1 of that. Still got about 5th I think, cos Alun and the rest were far better at timing the star powers - I was just glad to get through it!
