So, did we enjoy last week! A tricky combination if you ask me with a simple looking track made complicated by an uneven road surface and an odd handling car. But that said the person who dealt with it best and the winner of round 2 was c00lc0l. Congratulations mate, great time you put in this week. Special mention this week has to go to jimISere for his time this week, top stuff!

This weeks round is a little longer with the current World #1 time being 1:02.75sec in the Diablo? Somehow c00lc0l already finds himself #5 on the scoreboards for this track so go chase him. Good luck men.


Rules/Information:-
Welcome to the first FCC for PGR4, for all you who have competed before its the same format as before so go get your racing gloves on and lay down some laps. For those who are new keep reading and i'll try to answer some common questions.
The FCC(Forum Car Challenge) is a competition that uses the time trial section of the game
Each week we will run a different track and car class(decided by a vote), the track and class are always in the subject of the thread
Yes anyone can enter

You can run as many or as few laps as you like

You must post your time in THIS THREAD for it to be counted.

When posting your times please post them in the following format: 1:12.34sec

If you don't have 'live' you can still take part but photographic evidence may be required to verify your time.

When posting an improved time please create a new post. Do not update your original post.

Please send a friends request to PooonTangster if you wish to enter, this will make it easier to check your times

Winner of each round will receive 1000pts. The amount of points that you score will depend on how far behind the winning time you are. To score any points you will need to run a time that is no more than 10% slower than the winning time. e.g. if the winning time is 1:00.00sec then the 10% cut-off point would be 1:05.99sec so any time slower than this would not score points.

This round will close at midnight Saturday 31st November

1.05:23 in the porsche. (Dont like the lambo at all, shame it's got the top time)

I had 30 mins this morning, I think we may have some trouble getting in the top five this... Wall crashing again.

I was about to agree with Lightsider, since I quickly dropped down to a 1:05.71 in the Ruf, and couldn't get within a second of that time in the Lambo.

However, I somehow managed to drag the lumbering Lambo round the twisty bits to get a 1:05.40. Currently just inside the top 10 on Live, but I can't see that lasting

Just pipped you to that 10th place on the leaderboard with a 1:05.32

Really liking the track - not so sure about the Lambo!!

Got my top-10 place back with a 1:04.75

I'm actually a bit gutted - I was racing against Pooon's ghost and managing to keep 3 or 4 car lengths ahead of it until the last-but-one corner, when it all went a bit wrong

Ah well, time for another go.....

1:04:25 some very fast times coming in early this week. I think there is a mid 1:03 in there somewhere, maybe not from me though

105.80 in the Ruf. MT

I dont like the Lambo and yet I got my second quickest time with that on a scrappy lap. With the Ruf it felt like I was on the limit... it seems the key is nailing the fast corners and at the moment I can't get the last one sorted. I doubt I'll be getting below 105 on this one.

Think I'm going to be propping up the table again! I'm in the 1.07s at the moment with the RUF. My target will be a 1.05 methinks. Will go back to the Lambo at some point (only ran three laps in it last night).

I have converted to manual gears my friend

Plus I have put quite a few laps in over the past couple of days

The bubbles going to burst now though as I am back to work tomorrow - 12 hour days until Friday!!

Looks like I'm playing leapfrog on the leaderboards with you, Jim!

A few tenths improvement for me to a 1:04.43. That was a really scrappy lap, and I've since been faster in the first complex, the long tight right-hander, and several of the final corners - just not together in the same lap

Looking forward to giving this a go in the next couple of days. Didn't have a chance till now due to me having a short break in Dublin. Wont be till tomorrow before i have a bash at this as im itching to play mass effect a bit.

Congrats on the 1:03 Pooon.

I'm having loads of connection issues with BT Broadband so my time is limited, small improvement to 1:04:08. Can see a high 1:03 quite easily so I'll be giving you a run for your money. I'll just wait for Deano to beat me as well.

Not sure if you can watch my ghost but there are 2 corners that i know i can take better so a 1:03.6/7x should be possible

I'll have a look tonight hopefully!

There can be so much time made and lost in that first complex of corners and the fast left/right is critical if you want to get good speed down the long uphill stretch.

Did my first proper runs last night but not very good,i notice most are using the Diablo but don't rule out the Merc,i 've still not decided which car to concentrate on this week?
