As soon as the game comes out, I edit one of the posts to include, what weapons everyone uses the most.

In other words if I used the MP5 a lot, I would say I like the MP5 followed by any other stuff. Other then that, would some people like to meet up in Rainbow 6: Vegas to get ready for R6: Vegas 2.

Count me in too matey - abso-frickin-lutely loved R6V, and will be buying R6V2 on release day, no questions asked (read: once I've begged Mrs AFC to sign off £30-£40 to buy "another bloody game. You're obsessed").

Hope they keep the MP9 in the next game - that gun was just the daddy

I positively think there is a great chance, that the MP9 will stay for Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.

Am quite happy for both tags to exist side by side, am sure will get plenty people joining once the game is released.

I'm sure you won't need two? Only CoD4 has enough peeps for that, I don't think we need both tags. We can always resurrect the other one of we need it.

It appears we have two tags then. Don't know why this tag can't be used to scan for AVF members to setup games, meets are never compulsory. Well, so be it! I'll add the other one to the main list also and the first post here.

To be honest, I didn't understand why you closed reddevil63's thread.

He created a tag in the same vein as all the other tags - something you can search when you fancy a game with other members.

This thread/tag is more like a dedicated clan with arranged games, themed meetings, etc. which I have no interest in.
Hence why I sent the FR to Reddevil63's tag and not this one.

Hope that's clear.

I didn't get that impression, I know TVR may be running rooms every now and then, but didn't realise this was a problem. I thought we could just have AVF members on a tag that play whenever - if you don't want to accept an invite, then don't accept it...?! You wouldn't be getting an invite from TVR unless you expressed an interest in joining an arranged game anyway.

The reason I closed the thread is (personally speaking) I would like the tags to act as a marker for all AVF members playing that game, as opposed to making some people have 2 tags because half the members are on one tag, half on the other.

I genuinely thought the complaints would come from not having enough invites to games, not having too many. What would it look like to new members just wanting to play the game? Which tag should I join? To me having 2 tags seems a bit cliquey, which is what the tags are created to avoid....

I'm only explaining my philosophy behind them, and I'm only a member myself. If people disagree with me, fair enough, but I am only trying to help while making this a welcoming place for new members (part of my mod remit).

After all of which I've added both tags to the first post here, and to the main list of tags. I've no problem with that either if that's what people want.

Based on my experiences with having to create a second gamertag for the COD group, I think it's probably a wise move to just have one tag for the game. There are about 136 users signed up to play COD at the moment, and I for one hardly ever look at the second (partially filled) friends list at all. It's a shame for the members of the second account if they are never receiving any invites, but generally between my friends list and the first tag list, we get enough players to fill a room.

I've been considering the suggestion of consolidating both tags by booting non-regular players, but this would take a bit of effort and I have too much other stuff on my plate.

Anyway, for what it's worth, I suggest that one tag is used. Why don't you lads toss a coin or something to see who "wins", and be done with it?
