Exclamation AVF PES Association: The Resolution

I propose that we reduce the competition from 2 mathes against each team to a single match versus each team, thus halfing the number of games required.

This will make completion of the league a more realistic prospect, and once the campaign is complete we can look at potential spin offs with PES6, FIFA 08 and SWOS ... as many people have already said, it's a huge shame that this game is so badly implemented online as this could have been something extra special.

It's clear from the other vote that there is no single game we could move to that would allow everyone to continue, and at the same time people are willing to stick with this depsite the game itself, so I think my proposal is the best option available.

You have 2 weeks to vote, the options are:
1) Shorten the league campaign. Play each team once
2) Continue playing each team twice.
3) Abandon the league altogether.

We will go with the popular vote. If voting is close between two of the three options I will ask those who voted for the third option to recast their vote for one of the two that are viable to better determine the popular opinion.

Aye. That's why I opted for "play half a season" -- still plenty of games to play and a meaningful competition to play out, but at the same time not feeling like I'm commiting to playing 30 odd matches on a broken game. Of course, should Konami fix the netcode, it'll be very easy to re-instate the second half of the season at a later date

Re: AVF PES Association: The Resolution

Again, difficult. My option would actually to play half a season and see how it goes, if its fixed we continue and play the second round of fixtures, if its not fixed we call it a day at the end of the first leg of matches. I really dont see much point in throwing in the towel.

Re: AVF PES Association: The Resolution

Having a pretty bad day at the office so maybe I shouldn't have voted today really.

So far I have played two of my matches and enjoyed them, I didn't find them to bad lag wise at all tbh. I voted to quit now mainly because of the lack of love (which I fully understand btw) from a lot of the other members of the league for the game. It just isn't fun thinking you could be playing someone who is hating the match I am enjoying.

I will still be happy to complete my fixtures though if thats the decision the poll reaches.

I am sorry because of all the hard work that has gone into this but I voted to abandon.

I really can't get motivated to play this with Fifa being sooo good.

Re: AVF PES Association: The Resolution

Sorry, I also voted to quit, online has been so bad for me, that I've just had no interest in playing PES. If the vote says to keep playing, I will of course fulfill my games.

If we do quit, not worried about a refund, Durera welcome to keep it as a thanks for all the work, or to put into prize money for something else, up to you

neck and neck at the moment
if we do abandon i would like my refund to go to the kiddies christmas fund that im still organising, as in the end it was just to much hard work for one-two persons to get everything done in time

Given the choices available I agree with the above. I am still enjoying this offline. Last night I played my first online game of this year and it might be my imagination but it played quite smoothly.

This is a well organised, friendly but very competitive league - I have had some truly great games. So I vote to carry on - albeit shortened so we can later review it.

All said and done the games are still fun for me. Maybe a single division for those that wish to continue ?

Thanks

Really close call with the voting at the mo at 7 all.

Its sad that this has been more exciting to follow than the league itself upto this point.

Re: AVF PES Association: The Resolution

Sadly i've had to select abandon the league as my vote. That really isn't the decision that I wanted to choose as I had been looking forward to this for ages!

I just hate playing this online though and having to play such an awful game (which I never practice because it's just so bad) just to meet a match schedule seems like a waste of time, when I could be doing something I enjoy.

I do feel very sorry for Durera however as he has done an absolutely amazing job of arranging and running this competition and abandoning this will see a lot of time and effort go to waste on his part.

The only other solutions I can think of are to perhaps play fixtures with either PES6 or FIFA08, which both work well online.

Re: AVF PES Association: The Resolution

Apologies durera, but like CAS i'm going to have to vote abandon as well as there are just too many other good games for me to be playing at the moment. As such i honestly can't bring myself to spend what free time i have practising a half finished game that i'm not enjoying.

Sorry mate, you put in a lot of effort and it's been greatly appreciated by all here but konami stuck a spanner in the works by essentially releasing a beta.

A (c)lan party

Count me in.

Been back to Fifa and have to say I still enjoy the (offline) sharpness of PES.

I really enjoyed my games and don`t want this to die.

It looks like the majority have had enough and it`s all gone a little quiet.
