Crap Clan

After seeing the Over 35's Clan I'm thinking of starting the 'Crap Clan' -

To join you need to have a full time job, be married (or have live-in partner)and have kid/s.
There's no barriers like how good you are or even what games you have because we never get to play anything anyway.

We talk about what we would do if we ever got to go on our Xbox's for longer than 2 hours a week.

When we do eventually get that elusive free pass** to enjoy ourselves we can check how many weeks ago the others were on live or how we missed each other by only a few days!!

**there is no such thing as a free pass

Re: Crap Clan

In COD4 I can't shoot for toffee, I run around looking good and ducking behind walls. As soon as the enemy appear I spray everything but them with bullets and then throw flash grenades at myself!

What I'd do for a whole day on this game,
"hey darling, can I play COd4 all day today whilst you take the kids out".
in my wife's language translates as....
"I have a crack habit and I've spent all our savings on whores"

See that's the thing I still can't work out with flash grenades, am I supposed to be blinding myself(and likely my team mates) every time I throw one?

Re: Crap Clan

As someone who had his behind handed to him on his first online foray into "Halo 3" the other night, I'm more than happy to add my name to this list of rubbish gamers.

What's with all the hopping and stuff when people go online to play this game.

I wish I could say that I'm better at my beloved racing games, but that would be a shameful lie.

Really enjoy playing games, but can't say that I'll ever be as good as the people I've played against recently.

Do these folks do anything other than sit in front of a monitor all day with their controller perma-glued into their hands?

It's to avoid being hit.
Another tactic is to quickly move around randomly.
Personally I do neither.

There are some on my friends list that seem to be on from early morning until late evening - 12 hours or more without a break.
I find an hour or 2 of COD 4 at a time is more than enough.

my wife is actually really cool about it (at the moment) but she does something, I don't know what, that makes me feel guilty. Its subliminal.
I've always said she has a way of saying YES that you know straight away means NO.

Weirdly enough, I've had a crappy chest infection this week and been off work, so have had opportunity to actually play games for a decent amount of time.

It has seemed, whenever a member of my family has gone into our lounge, that I've been sat on the sofa, bleary-eyed, snuffling and crashing into yet another trackside barrier on PGR4.

It's nice for a while to have time to play games, but a bit of variety is nice.

Try not to catch any germs off this post...

Re: Crap Clan

My wife left me in charge of our 9 month whilst she nipped to the shops. So placed him on the floor with some toys thinking he's only just learnt to crawl what can happen. Picked up COD4 for 1 game. Stupid thing is I took his nappy off to give him some air and a bit of freedom...

yep... you guessed it...

Turned around and hey presto he's lying at the stairgate feeding our dog a handful of poo thru' the bars (his not the dogs), **** everywhere, the floor, his hands and the dog.
All this just as the wife walks in the front door.

I'm thinking it'll be another 2 weeks before I can get back on XboxL but will try and charm my way on tonight.

It's an ability that all women have mate. My wife is fine with me playing on the Xbox (after all it was her idea to buy it in the first place) but will sometimes come up with "you love the xbox more than me don't you?" which I always reply with "of course I don't sweetheart" but to wind her up I have now named "her" Boxie... It started a few weeks ago when I had to send her back to M$ after she got a case of the red rings and on the day she was returned I phoned my wife at work and told her that Boxie had been delivered back to me and that my life was complete again

Great Clan !
Seems to have turned into a thread about other halfs moaning
So i will join in too. Oh and i suck at online stuff compared to other people i play against.

My missus is great, i can get home from work and she will be playing GHIII and has been for about an hour maybe and she will play for another hour while i watch....Hey i dont mind it will be my turn soon.....

When it does become my turn and i have sat watching her play for an hour, i grab the guitar or the controller and she turns round and says " Turn it off now ! "

She thinks because the Xbox is mine and she plays on it means i am playing on it too.......Woman Logic

I can only think of one thing worse than a wife that doesn't understand the need to play Xbox... thats one thats wants to play too.

I'd buy 2 and put them in different rooms...
but then who would fetch my drinks and empty my toilet bucket????

Re: Crap Clan

Great thread, must have missed it before....

I patiently wait for the missus to go to bed each night usually around 10.00 - 10.30 pm, I even buy her 'chick' TV programs in an attempt to get to go to bed where she can watch her programs comfortably....
Then I start playing a game, until I fall asleep 1/2 hour later on the couch, controller still in hand!

Nice Wolf!

BTW, Rock Band is saving my XBox lifestyle a treat, we feeed and water the kids. Then Wash 'em and lock 'em in their rooms then we BOTH play until crap-o-vision starts at about 7:30 or 8pm.

Then she goes into the other room to watch EastBenders / Causality / Hobbly City / Big Mother and I get too shoot n00bs in the face and make drug deliveries etc.
