Prize Money
- £5 of each players fee is for prizes
- £4.40 is a refundable deposit should you complete all their fixtures in the season
- £0.60 is lost to PayPal

Your £5 is divided as follows:
- £1 towards the Cup competitions
- £4 towards your division's prize pot. With 12 teams the division 1 prize pot is £48, with 9 teams the division 2 prize pot is £36. See the tables below to see how that money is divied up at the end of the season.

Division 1
- 12 Teams
- 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw
- Each team plays each other team 2 times
- 22 league fixtures

Division 2
- 9 Teams
- 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw
- Each team plays each other team 2 times
- Because there are an odd number of teams in the division 1 team will have a bye for each week of fixtures.
- 16 league fixtures

Association Cup
- If we can get 11 non-association members to join for the first round all teams will enter at the first round (32 teams).
- If we fail to get 11 additional signups for the Cup then I will randomly draw 10 teams to play in the first round alone, reducing the number of teams from 21 to 16, before we begin the 2nd Round.
- The winner recieves £10. If a non-association member enters and wins then this £10 will be divided equally among the other prize pots (+£1 to the ten other prizes available)

Super Cup
- Top 5 teams in Division 1 and Top 3 teams in Division 2 enter the Super Cup, a straight knockout competition
- Quarter-finals & Semi Final - 2 legs
- Final - 1 leg
- The winner recieves £11

Promotion/Relegation
There are 3 automatic promotion/relegation spots.

Promotion Playoffs
- Teams 4,5 & 6 in Division 2 join the 4th bottom team in division 1 in the promotion playoffs. The semi-finals are a 2 legged affair. The final is a one off game.

If they haven't patched the game before the set start date of the season we can shift everything back a month (or more if needed). I'd rather start later and have a lag free season than have the first 5 or 6 matches ruined by choppy online play.

Heh, typo in the original post. It was meant to say "Each team plays each other team 3 times" for Division 2.. Which is where the 21 rounds of fixtures come from.

Typo now corrected.

Re: AVF PES Association : Format Discussion 07/08

I think 8 teams for the second division is a good idea as most of the later applicants will be those unsure of whether they were getting the game (myself included) and as such aren't hardcore pro evo fans.

Also the last eight will also get teams from the selection that are all pretty similar in stnadard.

Good stuff.

Re: AVF PES Association : Format Discussion 07/08

Great Stuff.

I also think we may have to wait for the patch. I only played one game online, but the ball jumped about a bit and a few times it happened in important areas.

This leagues been organised very well and it would be a shame if Konami's networking code caused the first few games to be a lottery.

Re: AVF PES Association : Format Discussion 07/08

I'll try and have a few games on PES tonight with some of the other teams (being playing through the Master League) and send my list through tomorrow.

Looking really good! Fingers crossed they sort out the net code ASAP!

Agreed! The lag can be pretty bad at times, although I find that it's OK if you both have decent connections. Played my brother last night and Giz the other night and there was very little lag in any of those games.

As has been mentioned, excellent work setting this up. A lot of time has clearly go into it and it's looking fantastic!

Here's one idea...How about a promoted side has the option to swap sides with a relegated side for the next season? So if someone playing as Chelsea gets relegated after season 1, then someone with say Roma gets the option to swap if they wish to. The option to swap would begin with the highest promoted side first. The promoted side can stick with their team if they wish however and this would only be an option so that a good player who has done well with an average team in Div 2 can swap to a potentially better side for Div 1.

My initial plan for season two is that we are seeded based on league performances (i.e. average number of points/game) .. and the "worst" players get first pick of teams, with the best players carrying a handicap of sorts, and picking last.

e.g.

[Div 2] mehogie1 .... 34 points/21 games -- first pick
[Div 1] durera .... 34 points/22 games -- second pick
[Div 1] CAS FAN . 40 points/22 games -- third pick
[Div 2] pete147 .... 50 points/21 games -- fourth pick

... and so on. Seeding on league position alone will mean that a good player who finished top of division 2 will get to pick ahead of a bad player that happened to be drawn in division 1.

But that's not set in stone, so this and any other suggestions are welcome.

Re: AVF PES Association : Format Discussion 07/08

Right.

- The final number of members is 21
- This means that division 2 has been extended to 9 teams. Each time will now only play the other teams in the division twice, reducing the number of fixtures to 16
- Because there is an odd number of teams in Division 2 one team will have a week off each fixture round
- Added £1 to the Super Cup prize
- Additional £4 distributed to Division 2 league positions
- Revised fixture schedule, start/end dates moved back 1 week

Did we settle on the settings for the matches? Did we go for 15 minutes in the end? What do we set condition to? etc.

Condition will be random.

I've set up a poll for the match duration, seeing as the game is a lot different to what some of us may have expected I figured people may have a different view having played the new game now.

You can select both options if it really doesn't bother you whether we play 10 or 15 minutes, but you still want to register your vote. Otherwise just choose the one you prefer.

Having seen how fast the game is now I'm infavour of ten minute games, whereas I was in preference of 15 minutes matches before. I think the game is much more open than it used to be and in 10 minutes I create far more chances than in previous versions where the game was much slower paced.

The poll will close in a week. We'll go with the popular vote at that time.

I feel exactly the same - I was in favour of 15 minutes, but 10 is more than enough to feel you've played a proper game

10 minute matches already has a majority vote (11 votes).

I'll be posting up the full match settings later.
