FAQ

Who will decide on the dates and time for the racing? The people racing

Will the season be done in a points format? Yes

Will we have a qualifying session? No

Can we have racing teams: Yes, but if you wish to be in a racing team please say so, but the teams will be picked by me and Munkey Boy, and will have no more then two people.

However if you are in a racing team, then you will need to come up with a name and a paint job, which you will both use.

If we ask to be in a racing team, can the team have two different cars in the team? Yes, but here is an example:

Person 1 of team 1 races the whole season in a Ferrari F430
Person 2 of team 1 races in a Jaguar XK Coupe

When we sign up, can we decide later on, if we want to decide to be in a racing team?

The deadline date will be posted up later on in the month

Will the winner win anything? Yes the person with the most points wins a prize car from me

If we racing or not, can we bet a car on the final postions or a race result? Yes betting cars is allowed, but if you lose the bet you must give a car of your choicer to the person you made a bet with, through the gift option.

However cars racing in the V8 series are not allowed to be put up for betting.

Who picks the racing numbers? The numbers will be a first come first serve for people wanting a number they want to use on there cars.

Where will the numbers be placed? Your racing number must be placed in the following postions:

*Left Door - Center part
*Right Door - Center part
*Bonnet - Center part

Also your racing number on the doors must fill up most of the space on the door, with bonnet size being either a quarter or half of the bonnet.

What do the paint jobs need to look like? Racing paint job, but if your stuck for idea's check these links out, to see how paint jobs can look like:

http://www.jonnylangracing.com/main-image11.gif
http://www.k4.dion.ne.jp/~aml/LOVELO...09750d8c2d.jpg
http://www.italiaspeed.com/2005/moto..._360_gtc_1.jpg

Can anyone design my paintjob for me? Yes

If I cannot do a racing paint job, can I also do simpler paint jobs? Yes

What mods can I do on the outside, as well as what ones I cannot do on the outside Do:

*Rims, which look like racing rims

*Spoiler - Needs to be a good sized one in other words no small spoilers like the ones, which just stick off the end of the car. However if the car you are entering, has a good sized spoiler already, you can use that.

*Body kit parts, like side skirts, hoods mods, rear bumpers, front bumps - If you car already has a side skirt, front bumper of rear bumper, which looks like it is race car ready, then you can keep it.

But one good example, which can keep its front bumper, is the Ferrari F430.

Don't add these to your entry

*No tuner looking hoods, in other ones one of these hoods:

http://www.sprintpartmart.com/images/0103WRXCFOEMFS.jpg

*No tinted windows

*No bling looking rims

----

My next post will contain info, on how the press releases are done, and if your racing, how you can join into these if you wish.

Because I want it to feel more like a racing series, however more info on the following:

Paint jobs for your cars
External body kit add's on
Racing Numbers

Can be found here - Starts getting to info you want to know about, after Will people be allowed to have there own racing team names for the GT season?:

AVF FM2 Car Club - V8 Series (Mini Season)

Note: Good luck with making your car become a race car with the looks and paint job to make it feel like a race car.

----

How the official press launch of the GT season will be done:

Before the start of the season, we will be doing press shots, of everyone’s in a small car pack and your cars on there own. After the shots are done there will be final report on there car, with my view on the car and it's spec and some other stuff

But after all that is out of the way, there will be some interviews in a conference format, where everyone can ask questions to the driver and there hopes for the season.

While asking how they hope there car can do, and what they think of the car in stock form and in race form.

Note 2: You do not need to join in with the press conference if you wish.

Note 3: Just to let the people entering this season is, the last bits of main info will be posted up in the next couple of days.

Re: AVF Forza Motorsport 2 Car Club - Mini GT Season (Sign Up's)

I'm a bit bummed that you can only have 8 sponsors on a car. Is that a concrete rule? I thought we would be more lax than that when it came to liveries...

I talk to Munkey Boy about the amount of sponsors, but remember cars are not plastered to the bone in sponsor. However would you like 12 instead, anyway what do you think about people having these four types of paint job options for there paint jobs:

*Have Someone work on your paint jobs
*Racing car paint job, with ideas borrowed from the links above
*More simpler paint jobs, with less shapes and racing lines involved
*Paint job, with only one type of colour being on the cars body work

But remember any of these options must be applied to a car, which looks like race car with the following:

*Rims, which look like racing ones
*Your racing number, on the center parts of the left and right doors, as well as on the center of the bonnet.
*Body kit parts, which look like racing ones
*Sponsors

To be honest I would've thought maybe there shouldn't be a limit, I mean after all this is one form of expression if not the point we're playing FM2 right?

I'm really sorry if I sound like an ass. I guess it just makes it less fun for me racing in a livery that wasn't one that I originally intended to use.

I bump the sponsor amount to 15, if that is better.

Didn't I? I'm confused then, as I signed up for something...or was I just registering an interest?

You signed up to the car club, but the mini seasons themed to something is just one of the things we will be running the car club. However if you want to enter this, then you will need to sign up to this mini season through this topic.

Why because you can sign up to this, I am just saying this is one of the compeitions in the car club. But the main reason you need to sign up to this if you want to enter this mini season is so we know who is intrested.
