I got the email yesterday as well, turned my xbox on about 10pm and nothing. Tried again and nothing.

Then I remembered I had to replace my xbox a couple of weeks ago and the NXE trial is linked to your console number not just your gamertag.

Bit of a pain but I'm sure I'll survive a week!!

Do you mean the NXE or the Preview?

The third and last wave of the Preview was released about 8.00pm last night. I finally managed to get in.

I did a bit of googling and now know what it is.
Quite like the idea of storing games on the HDD to reduce console noise and loading times.

Have you been in some sort of Big Brother house or on the moon??? I thought everyone with an Xbox knew about this. The current dash has had a countdown to this for the past 3 weeks!

Gamepics are not showing up on other other peoples machines yet although they are showing up at mygamercard.net

you wont be able to use it here though, but you can use it on most sites.

I never read anything on the dash or on xbox related sites.

I just switch on and play.

no, the only time you will see anyone grouped is when they are in a party together and then you will only see that on the freinds list on the dash.

Seriously though, that particualr feature is a very good idea. In fact the whole presentation is very well thought out. I think the majority will warm to the NXE, unless of course, someone is a completely negative, critical and pessimistic person who thinks that change is not good...

Yes, I'll be taking advantage of the local install feature.
Should help to cut down on noise at the very least.

Will AVF be able to show the new gamercards after NXE is released or will it be sticking to the old versions?

It would be a shame if it cant as I like the look of the new ones. Maybe it could do a slightly different sized one.

The max resolution is 1900x1080.

I have a 24" 1900x1200 monitor and it auto adjusts to fill with No noticable stretch. If your monitor doesnt auto adjust then you will have black bars top and bottom.
