Loads of info in there! Videos about all the main aspects of the update, and the party system seems the single best addition to me (shame Netflix can't work here), though the pop-up guide with it's quick launch and new marketplace layout are very well thought out too.

Will the 360 contain MKV container support?

Appears to be a no. We were told this would have to be looked into, which doesn't sound promising. What Greenberg does say, though, is that users should "let us know what you want" and the team will try to provide support for codecs and containers where there's enough demand. Don't hold your breath on this one.

I can't remember where I read it now but MS have said they are looking into partners in the EU to provide a Netflix type service, would imagine it would be LoveFilm or someone like that.

Yeah, we may have that year's lag like we did for video marketplace. Lovefilm would suit me fine!

Only if one of the boxex is offline. Mine were both connected, so I've never had a problem.

While messing around with the New Xbox Experience on my home 360 last week, I had trouble finding my second favorite feature from the old dashboard: Xbox Live Arcade auto-downloading.

That feature allowed me to set my 360 to download demos of every new XBLA game any time I entered my XBLA games library and there was new content available. I was a big fan of the feature, because it enabled new games to come to me rather than me having to know about them and seek them out. Auto-downloading is not in the NXE.

When I was given a demo of NXE last week, I mentioned that I liked auto-downloading almost as much as I liked spying on the gaming habits of my friends on my buddy list. Microsoft v.p. John Schappert turned to me and said, “You actually use that?” He would know better than me how popular it is.

Yesterday, a Microsoft rep confirmed to me that the feature “is disabled for the NXE launch,” but added that “it may come back in a future release.”

The next addition may or may not have been mentioned, but you can delete zero score games that you or someone else played once on your account so that it doesn’t affect your Gamerscore.

Great, isn't it? Now if only they'd let me delete games where I have accidentally picked up an achievement ie delete the game and remove the corresponding number of gamerscore points.

Have to say guys (and maybe even girls?), i have just been watching the Joystiq vids and this has now got me interested to be honest.

The feature that allows you to remove games played with 0GP from your list is excellent. I will certainly be tidying up my list come release

The party system also looks great. How easy does it look to get together with some mates and then jumping into a game? Change the game and stay in the party.

Not bothered about the avatars, but i am sure i will have a dabble when the time comes. This update is looking really good. Good in so much as it just gives you better tools to quickly get into games, quickly change games, all with your mates tagging along while you have a chat

Now that would be good

have a few games on my list that can now be removed finally

Not read it all through yet and not seen the videos but does anyone know how long it would take to put a game onto the harddrive and how big a single game would be ?

Apparently it takes around 10 - 20 mins, dependent on game size. Games vary in size but there wont be many less than 5Gig and none over 7.6!

i bet the reason they took it out is because people would be using their bandwidth downloading all the new xbla games and then most people would just delete them straight away.

i never used it myself as i didn't want all the crap xbla games being downloaded to my 360.
