Pc World xbox 360 replace or repair?

Well it had to happen and it just has, My 9 month old 360 has the three red rings of doom!! If i take it back to pc world will they just swap it for a new one or send it away for repair? And what happens to my hard drive with all my saves on there? I will be damned if i am losing 9 months of saves and all the games i bought from xbox live!

If it's under a year they may well be able to switch it for a new one in store and let you keep the hard drive. It's only after the initial year that the responsibility goes to microsoft. Under a year and the store should sort it.

Also don't know if you know but once you have bought an arcade game from live you can re-download it as many times as you want, so you wouldn't be losing them as such, you'd just need to download them again on to the new hard drive. If you couldn't keep your hard drive that is.
