ok can someone tell me what im doing wrong.

i want to be able to use my 360 on my bravia by using vga, however when i connect to the vga input and go to the pc input on the tv im getting a black screen and I get an out of range message.

Previously i had been connecting via component and the 360 was set to 1080i, should i have changed any settings on the 360 before unhooking the component adaptor from the 360?

maybe i cant use vga with my tv?

I have the same tv as you and it has a limited range of resolutions via vga. I think I have mine set to 1248 x 768 but can't be sure and I am at work so can't check at the mo.

All the resolutions are in the manual though.

Try connecting the 360 to a PC monitor via VGA and change the display setting to 1360 x 768.

That res doesn't work on my set but it may be ok on yours.

so i need to hook the pc monitor up with the vga cable and that will then give me access to the vga settings

change them to a correct resolution.

Unhook the pc monitor, hook back up to the tv and bob should be my uncle?

Yes but like I said my tv has a limited number of resolutions over vga so yours may have as well.

Best to try one of the lower ones first and work your way up.

I have the same TV with a US premium XBOX360 console, are you still not able to output 1080p with the Bravia's X2000 trough VGA connection?
