Xbox360 High Definition cable & Infocus X1 problem

Be gentle with me this is my first post.

I've got the MS High definition cable and a VGA cable for the 360. Comparing the images the scaled MS High definition cable is much better - the X1 seems to do a great job scaling the Hi-def output.

However just lately I have experienced a strange problem - I get the same eye-popping visuals until I trigger a loud event with the controller e.g. firing a gun in Quake 4 or Lost Planet or a loud melee in Oblivion. The X1 loses the signal and goes through its sourcing routine again to re-setup the image. As you can imagine a few seconds of blank screen everytime you take on an opponent is incredibly annoying. This didn't happen for the first few weeks of ownership and it doesn't happen with the VGA cable. I have tried all the usual things - removing cables/ changing settings for video/ sound all to no avail. Has anyone come across a similar problem and/ or remedy?

Thanks in advance!

Severnak
