I'm running via VGA as this should be the best connection as a Monitor is predominantely connected to a PC via VGA!!

thats true, thats why i have my pc plugged into the vga input. therefore i only have one high definition input to plug in to(component). the end of the day its up to you. some prefer vga some prefer component. this is not only a monitor remember it is a tv aswell. you might have to wait a while to find a vga cable, unless you buy on ebay.

good luck

I have the same monitor and have tried both VGA and Component. I found that component looks inferior to VGA on PGR3, Perfect Dark and NFS:MW (the only games I have).

For all 3 games the Component cable seems to produce much more blocky pictures - regardless of whether I go for 480p, 720p or 1080i.

Am I missing something? It looks like the pic is being forced to fill the screen.
