Pick up at store

Splinter Cell for the Original Xbox (backwards compatible on 360) is only 97p if you order from PC World and pick up at store, hopefully your store will have some in....good luck

Same as their xbox premiums that they "had" in stock, for a laugh I tried all the towns I could think of arround the country and did they have any? did they

I bought, splinter cell, amped 3, nba jam, tiger woods 2004, total club manager 2004, harry potter: quidditch and enclave from currys all for 47p each!

i thought they had to be original releases for backwards compatibility, these re-releases shouldnt work, i guess thats BS if you have bought them and are playing them?

Yup I'd be surprised if the budget re-releases are X360 compatible. Very surprised.

when into currys (hartlepool) expecting to find some bargins and all i got was a spotty twerp saying that if games are that cheap that the staff buy them all, (then stick them on a certain internet auction site)

i doubt they change the coding of the game. more than likely theyll reprint a new cover and manual saying 'CLASSIC RANGE'

they wont add code to make it unplayable. far too much effort for a game thats going classic because its old. and stopped selling.

i dont think its a case of they adding code to make it unplayable, these budget games were probably manufactured some time in early 2005. I doubt they are the same disc though. But we didnt just make it up, it really does say somewhere that only original releases would work

Ooh is the original Splinter Cell playable in 720p on the 360? I have a copy that I've never really played (long story.. I bought it to get to the hack for hi-def on the XBOX and was scared to overwrite the all important save game). Will give it a go later!
