Quick 360 game recommendation required

I have finally managed to bag myself a 360 from Game. The deal is Premium plus King Kong plus any other game for £369.

Not that keen on King Kong, but guess I can get something back for that from Ebay.

I have got PGR3 from my failed Amazon pre-order, and this was the launch title I really wanted.

Nothing else really sticks out, so could someone recommend one that is worth getting, or if not, one that has a fairly good resale value for me to put on here/Ebay?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Call of Duty 2 is awesome. Good resell value too as it's very popular

depending on what game your into id say NFS or COD. theyre the two leaders for me personally.

i prefer NFS to PGR as its more arcade/fun.

at the minute the only games i have (and ive had most of the release titles) are Tony Hawk and NFS.

Bankshot Billiards is one to get, and next on my list is probably: PES5 or Topspin2, if it ever arrives.

I'd say Kameo is also a good bet. It's not usually my sort of game but I really enjoyed it. COD2 seems to hold it's value quite well.

Ridge Racer 6 is out this week on PAL (Friday 20th), the newest batch of Ridge Racer on USA is region locked If your into racing stuff then its great (Ive played it for over 32hours so far) has a fantastic online section as well.

Others Id say what I have...

COD2 - Excellent, slightly better graphics over the high end PC version definite buy if you like FPS

Kameo - Not played yet, tried it on demo pod on release day and bought looked lovely (but Im told from friends its short)

Condemed - Very nice FPS, not much replay value but its great, from the FEAR team on PC

Tiger Woods - Above average game because it has more taken out than the Xbox 1 version

Madden - Biggest disapointment for me, 2nd reason I wanted a 360 (PGR3 first) and its had loads taken out over xbox1 including madden commentary

PDZ - Above average in single player, some very good sections but also some ropey ones and shouldnt have taken 5 yrs to make. It has a problem with certain ISPs for online though and mine wouldnt connect to online sessions (although I could start my own), its the only game I have a problem with on live so it went back for Condemed as a faulty purchase (after I had finished the single player).

PGR3 - Yep top game another must buy

DOA4 - (USA region free) - A nice graphical DOA series, still the same though either very weak AI or counter crazy, its good but online theres a few lag problems. I dunno with DOA I just find it too easy single player over VF4 evo and Tekken, but I must admit I only really enjoy VF4 evo out of 3d ones my favs are 2d like Garou MOW, Last Blade and SF2

NFSMW - The suprise for me, I purchased it on a whim on launch day to take back under games 10day return policy (as at the time NBA 2k6 was due out the following week but its put back till Jan 27th now and I was going to swap it for that) but I put it in as my first game and then played nothing else till the following Wednesday (even RR6 was sealed till then). Its just a great fun game.

Just picked it up. The bundle actually included King Kong, Condemned and any other - not bad for £369, so I went for this over the premium on its own for £280.

Looking forward to RR6 as well!

Thanks again for all of the advice, especially Dazzyman for that great summary.

Yea RR6 is great online, just remember if your playing online though and it lags and you have a PC connected to it (for music) you must tell the 360 to disconnect via dashbord as its causing a conflict, once you do that it runs perfect (PAL might have it fixed though).

The only others what are due (FEB is now barren due to delays) is NHL and NBA 2k6 series next week, there both really ports of Xbox1 with slightly better graphics. Ive been into the NBA series for years and its a very good sports title but if your expecting amazing graphics you might be disapointed.

March is nuts though theres loads announced like Fight Night, Ghost Reacon and Morrowind. If the stuff stays on schedule its about £440 worth of decent games

the only games for me that have delivered in all areas are Comdemned and Dead or Alive 4.

graphically nothing has topped these games (DOA 4 is unbelievable visually).. both games are very polished.. both are an absolute joy to play.. in fact both these games are the only ones that don't feel rushed to me.

they would be my recomendation.

What was game #3? RR6 preorder?

I was about to recommend Condemned, but I see you got it! Turn the lights off and the volume up. Really creepy stuff. Excellent game.

I was going to add you could download demos of some of the games you're not sure about e.g. Kameo, Quake 4, PGR3, although not without the HDD!

CoD2 and Condemned are my top two. Yet to play DOA4 or RR6. PDZ and PGR3 get an honourable mention.

Hehe I post about NBA 2k and just read its delayed again till March 10th, if only that was region 0 (NHL bumped back till then and Fight Night is now out same day instead of 3rd of March so very expensive week ).

DOA4 has gorgeous graphics but so did 3, the improved AI still didnt stop me beating the boss on first attempt though

play it on a real difficulty setting then.... and sure 3 was nice for its time.. but 4 is a huge improvement visually... nothing that looks better. Perfect Dark Zero, PGR3.. etc all have framerate and/or jagged issues... PDZ is extremly poor... jagged edges.. frame tearing.. unpolished animation (robot barbie anyone?)

Now why I didnt think about putting the difficulty higher on DOA 4 It suffers from the AI of either punch punch pause repeat syndrome or running kick like before in the series for the AI. The AI has always been pretty stupid compared to VF 2 and 4/evo its just aimed at a different market. DOA4 has a few problems as well what there working on a patch for, one is that some are having savegames disapear and the other is the lag for online fighting. (http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_bl...ic_id=24198870)
I do like the way though that if you fight on the downtown map/ring the LCD displays on the barriers scrolls your motto (mine is I love my brick).

I arent really a person what gets amazed by graphics, I like the little things like how it plays and how easy it is to finish etc... PGR3 Ive seen a lot to do with VGA vs Component for jaggies, I cant say I get much at all with Component. I have seen some shocking pictures of some peoples tellys though thru VGA (and mine looks nowt like that), plays beautifully though and the tiny details of a dynamic dashboard with realtime lighting I prefer at its lower definition than say RR6 ultra 60fps HD output (as PGR isnt running in 720p anyway its upscaling it).
