Did the HDD clip into the socket correct? I know, silly question, but you never know.

I have a core with HD component cable and an HDD and ive not had this message. This problem has been reported by others. Best to do a forum search.

Hope you get it sorted.

You are one of the unlucky ones in that you have a faulty machine. Take it back where you got it from and get another one or money back or yu can ring Microsoft and ten send you a box for you to put the machine in and they send out a replacement within a week.
Do a yahoo search and you will see a lot of people have that error message.

Error 67 means that there is a "Hard Drive failure".
Try re-inserting the HDD to the 360 and also running the 360 without the HDD inserted. If it runs fine, this should indicate that your Hard Drive is the problem, the not the console.

I don't see how you can make that assumption. It could just be a faulty HD and not a faulty machine. If that is the cased then replacing the HD with another one may be all that is needed.

It might actually be worth disconnecting the HD whilst the machine is off, reconnecting it and restarting the machine.

Hi
Yeah the xbox works fine and have been playing on it all morning and tried reconnecting the hd a few times so it must be a dodgy HD.

Fair enough I only went by what others have said. I have not seen this error message myself.
