Well i place my order some time ago and on the 28th of November streetsonline take payment for Premier System plus PGR, order states it's being processed then "Awaiting Dispatch"...

oooooh me thinks, all is good, i call on the 1st, yep it will be with you tommorow, all is in order.

Get back from the launch party (left too early to get goodie bag) check order, still says "Awaiting Dispatch"...

Call this morning, spoke to a woman who said they were told off by M$ for sending out goods before 2nd and my console will ship today, cool, better late than never me thinks!

Get's later, i check and it's still "Awaiting Dispatch", this time i call and ask to make a complaint, I had a BAD feeling.....

To cut a very long story short, at 2pm the order changes to "awaiting stock from supplier" response from Woolies CS department was nothing we can do, no explanation as to where my console is, no "where going to remedy this" just a call to say sorry, can't get you your order (acknowledging they have confirmed the contract of sale by debiting my credit card four days ago) and we are refunding and cancelling your order...

Gave me some bull about our suppliers letting them down, when i informed her that i knew this to be untrue and that Woolies/Streetonline etc. and the "supplier" who is Entertainment UK (EUK) they are the ones who fulfill the order and are one and the same company as woolies etc.

She didn't like it that I knew that she was also lying to me and that i knew about the EUK/Woolies/Streets all being interrelated.

So, it's big £'s for me (saved £300 by ordering from German Ebay) but still now in the hole for Double the cost of the order placed with streetsonline.

Off to write a letter before action asking them to reimburse the extra costs i HAD to pay due to their breach of contract to get me a console this side of 2006!

I do wonder why i seem to have problems with orders placed in good faith; i am sure i would not have had such an issue with John Lewis

Got that off my chest!

Got a bundle of games to play, HiDef Plasma and no console,

I am sorry to hear that! I think from my POV that you have been extremely unlucky, I know that Woolies saved me a lotta grief with my son, he would have been really upset had he not gotten to use a 360 today and thanks to woolies they delivered.

I don't "think" too many people got stiffed, I hope it gets sorted sharpish. The wait will be worth it!

They admitted to me that there were a few, but instead of trying to resolve the matter they did nothing, no explanation, nothing! Just a confirmation email saying they were going to refund me!

Bonus though, Play have shipped my 2nd controller, another thing to add insult to the huge injury (financial and not being able to play today, tommorow, when will i be able to play
