SDTV stuttering?

i been playing kameo, pgr3 and some 720P vids (ie pdz trailer 720p)
has anyone noticed the game stuttering?

it happens mostly on kameo.

odd thing is when i hooked it upto my monitor at 720P the stuttering was pratically gone.

just so you know i was using the same component cable for sdtv and to my monitor (component to vga convertor)

anyone else notice this? does the 360 struggle with 576i? i mainly play at 60hz

This could be interesting, I've posted a few times today about this being a major problem when playing condemned although no one could come up with a reason why it was happening.

I've tried playing in both 50 and 60hz modes but the problems still there.

Edit - thought i'd add that i'm using a sdtv with the xbox connected via composite

Damn, I just noticed you said kameo was a game that had this problem as well, to be honest if I get it and it's true I might as well just get rid of my 360 as I can't afford a decent tv to get non stuttering gameplay

I hope someones got a solution to the problem though...

I have the same stuttering in the Kameo videos (not ingame) but only if the dashboard it set to PAL 50hz. Setting to 60hz fixes it completely. Havent had any problems with other games in either setting. SDTV with the Advanced AV Scart (RGB).

Ok I got kameo today and it plays fine with no stuttering at all just like PGR3, I think my copy of condemned must be bad or something as that's the olnly game I'm having trouble with.

Am I being daft here? Are there options for you to change from 50hz to 60hz, or is it just game dependant?

You can change it in the xbox 360 menu if you go to 'PAL settings'

I noticed some stuttering while playing Perfect Dark Zero (only the video sequences) but had it set to PAL60hz so I assumed setting it to PAL50hz would get rid of it but it didnt.

I havent noticed any problems in Condemned though.
