how would you rate the xbox 360 as a dvd player & cd player

When I eventually get my paws on one these two things are very important. How does it play music/dvd and what is it in comparision to ie toshiba sd

its a

bit blocky on dark parts of picture no where near as good as my pioneer 575 which a shame because if it was as good as the pio i could of used it as an all in one enterainment system ,

It clips the blacks at 16 . Seems to pass full white range though.

From what I've seen briefly its ok. I don't think the deinterlacing is up to much but its probably as good as a cheap prog scan player.

Fairly clean picture . Colour was accurate.
