Who Else Plays On A Normal T.V!

Every 360 forum i visit seems like im the only 1 playing on a normal t.v, on 1 forum theres 6 pages on a topic like this and EVERY single person claims to have a hdtv?! Maybe its the truth but i find that hard to believe and im fed up of ppl taking the **** on Live just because i dont have a hdtv! Who else here plays on a normal t.v and is chuffed to bits with the image quality?

I am and it looks great!

I find it funny when some people say a standard tv makes games look like Xbox 1 quality, that's just ridiculous.

I play on standard tv and i'm impressed by the graphics on PGR3 anyway, can't comment on any other titles as i've only got PGR3.

I've just paid for my first years subscription on Live, haven't played on there yet, hell, only played PGR3 for about 20mins so far!

But if this is the case with ppl taking the p*** and being generally immature on there then i'll be very regretful for buying a membership and will return to PC online gaming. However i haven't tried it yet so can't pass comment.

I will give it ago soon and reply with my thoughts if ya like...

I would like a HDTV (very soon indeed i will be getting one) but i'm happy for now.

Regards,

edit: It also makes me wonder: If these ppl are taking the P*** and generally acting in that manner then i would think they are most probably children, and in that case how could they afford HDTV's? Unless mummy and daddy bought it for them, maybe??

Oh dear, I would avoid playing Halo 2 online if I was you if you don't want to play with immature idiots.

I have a Pioneer 435xde hd ready, and to be honest I can't tell the difference between xbox on a normal tv and 360 on my HD. At the end of the day the gameplay is the same and that is what matters...... or it used to !

Soldier I.

I really do apologise for the interruption but you wouldn't happen to have the component lead that you might not be using with your SD TV do you? Would you possibly consider selling it to me for a vastly inflated price?

I still use an 'old school' 32" crt but i can live with it - for now.

Have to say i did get the Advanced AV RGB Scart and the pic quality on PDZ is superb.

Nothing sinister. I walked into my local Comet at 10:00hrs and and there was a Core System staring me in the face, well it would of been rude not to really but i cannot bring myself to connect it up to my LCD/PJ until i get myself an HD lead.
Weird?....... probably!

Am playing on my widescreen sony CRT and have to say that PGR3 looks great- did get the advanced scart cable to eek the best RGB picture out of the system that I could!

I had a few issues with the Xbox standing vertically next to the TV producing a magnetic field that distorted the picture near the Xbox and it even left a black line down the screen for a while! After I moved it away from my TV the picture returned to normal a few hours later and I've been enjoying PGR3 ever since!

Now if only I could afford an HD TV to compare it to!

I had to get a Core system so no HD leads - but the guy at my local Game store said they were getting deliveries of their own branded leads in on Saturday (3rd Dec) so i would give them a call early if i were you - as i only got my (superb) Advanced AV Scart lead by calling them and getting it put aside for me.

NB: I completely understand you not wanting to use your 360 with the horrible composite leads. Means you are a purist.
I was the same about using only RGB.

"The best is always good enough" as a great man once said.

A lot of people do have a hdtv, I guess we're not that rich, or very very bad at saving (although I managed to save for my 360 which took me all year)

But I play mine on a normal tv, can't wait for my RGB scart lead to get here though
