Help for a newbie

Hi All, quick question.

I really want to run my 360 through this LCD:

http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/455_274488.html

It claims to be HD ready, but I can't for the life of me work out what (if anything) I need to do.

I have the premium pack so therefore all the cables.

Did I buy a duff TV for gaming?

According to Comet's specs this is not HD Ready as it does not support the HDCP protocol. This will not affect it as far as playing your 360 goes as this does not require it, but as it does not have component video inputs you would need to get one of the hard to find VGA HD cables and connect it that way. Gameplay list them : http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/...ga_hd_av_cable .

Thanks for the advice.

I was thinking about the VGA cable, but on closer inspection it doesn't seem to be compatible with my TV.

The VGA cable is 9 pin (I think) which wouldn't fit the DVI-I socket on my Philips?

The cable is 15-pin D-Sub.

If you don't have a VGA socket on your TV, just get a VGA to DVI converter. They are cheap.
