I remember.

Actually listen works too, when you read a word you listen to the thought inside your head.

I think it was the second to last page of the old thread.

You clearly read it because you'd quoted it

It could probably be phrased as 'chose to ignore', you can't really say 'but you didn't read'

How did you manage to get the 500 Silver Back kills achievement. Levelling up the Silver Back is tedious, especially when French people steal your Silver Back in public MP.

i know i quoted it, i said i didn't recall the post, i never said u never did the post in question.

as for the silverback.

i did this with 2 controllers in a private game on horde, blood drive, insane mode, wave 27, 3 mutators - super reload, no ammo pick ups, and infinte ammo.

use the 2nd controller to give u the cash then the room u started in use the base tower outside it to kick off the game, fortify the room u started in with fencing only don't use turrets.

now just keep killing as many as u can but don't finish the wave, when u get to about the last 3 just let them kill u and then keep repeating the same wave over and over, buy the silverback and leave it in the room u start in.

always do the fences first before the silverback upgrading.

once u have the silverback u can use it to take out enemies in the doorway and then keep repairing it.

if the silverback gets destroyed then just revert back to the main method as before, it's best to leave the silverback alone if it gets too damaged u can stick it in the corner out of fire.

silverback rockets are on level 3 and cost 10k to upgrade.

neverdead is ok, controls are a bit clunky, not sure about having to keep finding your limbs all the time as i think that may get a bit boring, only just stated it so i cannot really give much about it at the moment, it's worth a rental but me personally i wouldn't buy it, it could do with a demo for it.

never played the first darkness game as i couldn't really get to grips with the demo, i may rent the sequel, it's due out this month isn't it?

That will take care of the letter D for you.

How about Catherine for the letter C ?

Cheers for the Co-op game last night mate. I actually really enjoyed it. So much of a different pace compared to your other shooters.

I know this is the Xbox forum, but does anyone play Age of Empires Online? You can play for free and there are a few achievements you can get for free.

I love that site...so many helpful guides from fellow achievement whores

Has helped me out tremendously on so many occasions !

not really sure if i should count that as D as it starts off as 'The' darkness 2, i always think those titles could be just called darkness 2 so im not sure whether to count it as my D game or not?

on lovefilm it's still on reserve, it should be on my main list now really as it normally goes on 4 days before it comes out.

i prefer the score of T.A. because i think it makes more sense, when u get 50g for doing a campaign on the hardest difficulty for the xbox score but with T.A. they give u more as a true reading of the achievement which i like.

When sorting alphabetically many systems remove 'The' and 'A' and sort by the subsequent word(s). So 'The Darkness' would be sorted on the word Darkness.

I am in the camp the 'The Darkness' starts with a T, it really annoys me when albums, bands .etc. in my collection are sorted ignoring 'The' and I have to search to find them.

Thats incredibly anal. Anything with a 'The' counts.

Its up to you really, but the analness may be your undoing!

I say.. DO IT!

im with matt on this that if it's the darkness 2 then it begins with T.

Got a few more RDR multipalyer achievements last night. Gradually getting the 90 odd which are in the game lol.

Just went a rebought Forza 3 and L4D to try and finish of the achievements. Would anyone mind in helping me get one for Forza 3 where I have to sell something online?

Would'nt mind teaming up with some people for L4D co-op too on Expert... I ain't looking forward to that lol.

I saw you were playing RDR MP so didn't ping you an invite to play SCC.

I picked up a few of the RDR MP achievements way back - but more by luck than design or actually seeking them out. I seem to remember thinking I can't be arsed with the rest, and was probably unlikely to be able to get the ones for winning even if I could be arsed to try! Good luck with the rest. The heart of RDR for me though was the epic SP story.

I'd be happy to help with F3 but I sold my copy a while back. If you don't mind being cheesy, and you have a spare 48 hour Live trial code to hand, you can easily do it by just creating a second Live account and using that to buy whatever you have listed on your main account's storefront.

Much easier to get someone from here to buy it though, if anyone still has a copy of F3.....

No problem at all mate. Yeah I'm just enjoying the game at the moment. I know I probably won't get all the cheevos but will try to get most of them.

I'll be about later on if you fancy some SCC?

Ah, there's an idea actually... never thought of that lol.

Sounds good - we can polish off another chapter or two of the co-op story

I'm on most nights for an hour or so from when my daughter goes to bed, so any time around 19.30.

No problem - I cracked on with the SP story second playthrough, on Realistic. Nearly done now.

I can't see me completing all of the SCC achievements though. Not sure I've got the patience to grind out all of the Prepare & Execute Challenge ones. One of them is nearly at 100% just through the way I play but the other two will need a load of grinding, and I just don't have the time or inclination. I think it will be time for something else, shortly!

I really ought to go back and complete the Dead Space 2 story. And run through the Portal 2 co-op levels. I'm trying to resist temptation to buy ACR or Saints Row the Third and instead to force myself to return to other half-played and abandoned games.

Dark Souls is crying out for me to give it another go but I'm not sure if I can face the challenge in getting back into the game, and relearning the horrendous difficulty curve, after not playing it in 3-4 months.....

I've barely touched FIFA12, which I bought as my first FIFA game (and indeed console football game) ever to see what all the fuss was about, and I just didn't "get" the controls. Too many button combos to learn and remember. I suspect I won't have the patience to persevere.

And there then's BF3, which I've played through in SP but keep meaning to try MP. I'm not much of a competitive MP player (not least as I'm dire at FPS MP) but the glowing reviews keep encouraging me to try. Perhaps just as well that I don't, and get hooked - in which I'd never have time to play anything else....

Decisions, decisions!

Dead Space 2 it is then!

SCC SP campaign on Realistic now done. MP and some of the DLC maps left to do before it's time to put Isaac Clarke's environment suit back on...

If you have time tonight or over the weekend mate we could crack on with all the Co-Op/Deniable Ops ones?

I restarted my whole SP play through on realistic and will replay them on rookie just to mop up a few of the cheevos I think.

You will enjoy SR... its an incrediable game lol.

Going to try and mop up some Age of Empires achievements over the weekend too.

Age Of Empires was sweet. I hope one day they make a serious game.

There are rumours of a New C&C Red Alert being developed :P One that goes back to the Red Alert 2 days :D

I'll almost certainly be online for an hour or so this evening and maybe on Saturday night. I'll keep an eye out for you!

TBH, I've rattled through the SP campaign on Realistic much faster than on Normal. Rather oddly, I've got away with running-and-gunning it a lot more than I did on the first playthrough - perhaps it's just part of knowing what's coming and having all the weapons, fully upgraded, right from the start.

Perhaps it's just that I've remembered to use my gadgets more this time, and a well-placed remote mine or stcky camera can take out a lot of goons in one go rather than having to be stealthy and hunt them slowly one by one....

Either way, I haven't found it much harder at all than on Normal.
