Yeah I get one lot of 10 points every month for that too. I thought it would a once only 10 points but it must just add them on when the new month subscription starts

I think you get the points if you continue to subscribe once the trial is over.

They sure are taking a long, long, time to credit my points for renewing my gold sub over 3 weeks ago.

Upon researching the points for renewing a sub, MS are pulling a fast one. MS are claiming the promotion for renewing will only pay out if your sub expired in January, so if your sub expires on February 1st no 400msp for you, even if you renew in January.

And because my sub expires in September, my 200msp for renewing will not be credited until October, despite renewing in January. And there is still no guarantee MS will pay out in October.

4. It will take up to 96 hours after Enrollees perform point-earning activities for their corresponding Microsoft Points to appear in the Enrollee’s Account as "pending". An Enrollee needs 100 or more "pending" Microsoft Points before the Microsoft Points will be converted to "awarded". Once an Enrollee has 100 or more "pending" Microsoft Points, it will take up to 45 days after the point-earning activity for such Microsoft Points to appear in the Enrollee's Account as "awarded". The Sponsor reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to award Microsoft Points at a later date if additional time is needed for any reason. Microsoft Points in an Enrollee's Account as "pending" cannot be redeemed until they appear in the Account as "awarded".

Xbox LIVE Rewards

From what I read a while back once you get to 100points they deposit on the 14th of each month I think.

As I said in the post mine expires in September, but I renewed in January because I might as well to get the extra MSP. But MS will not count that as a renewal because my sub hadn't expired in January.

In September, if they are still giving rewards for renewing I will get whatever the offer available in September is, despite purchasing the renewal in January. MS are unlikely to do a double points promotion in September

Aye it's a bit shady Matt, although 'technically' you're not renewing until your old sub runs out. It's the age old thing isn't it, cancel and get a better offer or be a new customer and get a better offer. Loyalty buys nothing.

The reverse happened for me. My sub ran out in Jan and I renewed my sub in December. I later found the offer.

Thats an amazing offering! :-D

I wish Microsoft put up more offers especially for existing and veteran members :-( it just seems Microsoft arent really giving away stuff as much as they seemed to a few months back.

I signed up to netflix waited for the month to be over, got charged for the month and still no 100msp oh well, Microsoft wants more people to sign up and good that they are now offering 800msp but they dont seem to be offering much else in the way of rewards for current members. Once you have made your first purchases or got a couple of movies and done the monthly quiz theres nothing else that you can really do to keep farming points.

Not had chance to read the whole thread, but as you get 10 points for referring a friend, are there any issues with referring my other xbox live account?

Well what did you expect, MS aren't in the business of just giving away money

Personally I've earned around 700 points since starting for doing almost nothing, so I'm pretty pleased.

Obviously it would be nice to have more ways to earn points, would love them to be tied into gamerpoints for example or achievements, but that will never happen Shame as i'd be rich if they did
