Xbox 360 - Video/Audio Capture - HDMI/Optical?

Hi guys,

I have a Xbox 360 Elite and wanted to figure out some way of connecting it to a recorder or my pc? Xbox is running its video via HDMI to my Dell 24" HD monitor and the sound is going via optical to my Ear Force X4 headphones.

An optical splitter would get the audio going to both ok? but how about the video will a HDMI splitter allow two outputs at same time?

PC is a Dell quad core with a Hauppauge HVR-1200 card that has s-video input, so maybe a new HDMI card would be best? any recommendations? or maybe I should just connect to a standalone recorder?

Thanks

you need to look at the PC capture cards and see what connections they take and there cost - I have seen ones with component, but not HDMI but they may be out there.
