VGA Awards 2009

Ok, amongst 'other' games, this show on the 12th December will see the Reveal of, wait for it...

Halo Reach

Ok excitement over. My question is,

It is being aired on spike in over 180 countries.. So how and where are we going to see it in the UK?

It will be all over Xbox Live, I'm sure. MS is usually pretty good about getting content up quickly.

Reach needs to be something special. ODST felt so meh (not that I've played much of it yet--I picked up Borderlands and haven't looked back).

The sooner Bungie get their mits off Halo, the better. For their sake Reach better be good.

It's usually streamed in a couple of places, I watched it live last year -- it was atrocious. I don't recommend watching it, it makes you almost ashamed to be a gamer. About 10% of the show is actual awards (most of them aren't even given during the show, it says at the end "Check our websites for the full list of awards and winners") instead it's a bunch of mainstream rappers and celebrities pretending they love games, performing and then the announcements are usually poor 30 second CGI trailers just before commercials. Most developers will save the meaty stuff for their own announcements and proper conferences like E3 and TGS.

I think it's already been confirmed that they're showing part of Halo Reach's opening scene. Hopefully it'll end with a date for the multiplayer beta.
