How on Earth do you link Facebook friends?

How on Earth do you link Facebook friends?
Everytime I go into the linker in Facebook on 360, it says No Friends available.

I've been in touch with a friend on Facebook who's used it on 360 and she says I don't show up in her Linker either!

How do you do it?
