poor graphics

poor graphics

just loaded MW2 and got the message to update the console.
got a completely diffenet blade system and graphic quality is absolute crap!!
what on earth is going on?

Well, I'd guess you don't have blades at all now, but the new menu system called NXE (New Xbox Experience). It's an acquired taste for some I guess...but adds functionality and all the old shortcuts are present when you press the guide button.

No idea what you mean about the graphical quality though, you may have a problem if that doesn't look right.

Maybe it has reset the display output.

Check the options, do you use component or HDMI?

It will look pap depending on your 360 display settings. Some peoples sets dont work well with NXE at anything 720p and below.

obviously i have not been paying attention!! NXE!!
the box is connected with component through an onkyo 876 amp.
the setting is at 1080i.
my daughter just played a sonic the hedgehog game and it was full of jaggies!
i never had this problem before the update.

Pop it down to 720p then. Should clear it up.

Also what is your sharpness setting?

On a properly calibrated set, the sharpness is usually between 0-10. Sharpness only really needs to be high on a CRT set.

sharpness was at 0% and changed it to 720p.
