Question Turtle Beach X1......Microphone Problems

Hi Guys,

So i have just today recieved my set of Turtle beach X1's from LIME and the microphone isnt/wont work(ing)

i have an xbox 360 elite that is connected to my TV through an HDMI cable. The X1's are set up as follows:
  1. i have plugged the audio dongle (supplied with the console) into the back of the xbox.
  2. i have then plugged the red & white plugs on the headset into the corresponding sockets on the dongle.
  3. i then plugged the headset into the USB port on the back of the console.
  4. i plugged the chat wire into the volume control on the headset and into the bottom of the controller.
i then stuck COD 4 in and voila the sound was amazing!!! anyway played a game and then a friend invited me to a party. i accepted the invite and started chatting, i could hear him through the headset but he couldnt hear me....i checked that the mute button wasnt on and i checked all the connections which were all fine. the insturction book that came with the headset just said to make sure your voice settings are set to theough the heaset which they are!!!

so are they faulty or is there something i have missed or need to do???

i have never purchased from LIME before......i am so gutted/annoyed as i had got a night of COD planned with friends which i cant chat too now!!

Any help/advice that you may have will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Chris
