I'm about to get a 512 memory unit so I can take my profile and such to other people's houses, I also have a standard 360 Elite 120 gig HDD, what should I buy to be able to transfer and backup files from the HDD and Memory Card?

I want to be certain what I buy is quality, as I've heard that at least one of the transfer devices out there has corrupted many files on the 360 HDDs.

Memory Unit.

If you take your HDD you'll have to unplug your mates first before you can use yours.

IIRC the 512mb cards have Geometry Wars pre-installed.

Only thing to be careful of is that some games won't allow you to transfer the save game from device to another - the majority are OK but Rare's titles tend to work this way.

No, I mean I need a device to transfer files from my PC to a Memory Unit/HDD and vice-versa.

It'll be either the X-Sata thingumy that connects into your HDD from your PC's USB port or the datel gubbins that turns the memory unit into a flash drive - the latter is probably the cheaper.
