Broken LCD

The fruit of my loins has just decided to pull my gaming LCD off my desk , in effect breaking it ( god why did i want kids again )

I'm now using an old BEKO Television , which obviously does not have a VGA port on only scart connection, i need a new cable to play my 360 until the new LCD arrives.

It obviously needs the scart adapter to plug it in to my turd tv , my question is which cable do i need composite or component and where can it be picked up from ? instore as cheap as possible

cheers

Re: Broken LCD

Havent you got the component cable in the box? you can plug the composite leads on it into the scart block adapter and just use that for now.

Re: Broken LCD

Component is HD, composite can go via scart, that's what you want. There's info in the FAQ about the connectionsa available.

Re: Broken LCD

composite is the yellow connector and there are two phono audio leads that accompany it, the scart adpater has three phono inputs (coloured yellow, red and white) and the scart connector

component is three video connectors (Pb, Pr and Y) and is also often accompanied by two phono audio leads. However there are no cheap or easy component to scart adapters

Re: Broken LCD

if you have a component cable, check the side of the connector block - if it says HDTV/SDTV click it to SDTV and use the three cables that are separated from the rest and just put them into the scart adapter - this works as its how my local gamestation uses it and indeed what i shall be doing temporarily when i move into my new house...

it can be done without buying a new cable if you already have the component video...

thought you'd like to know.

***Ignore me, I completely missed the post aout not having the cable, lol***

Re: Broken LCD

But composite is AWFUL. Even for a few weeks I'd spend the money on an RGB cable.
