Hi,
I have been looking everywhere for the perfect settings for my xbox 360. I have just had to do a mandatory upgrade to an elite (previous console got RROD) so now i have a HDMI unlike before. There are quite a few places that say things but everywhere says "Home Theater PC" must be enabled on the TV to get a truly great picture and for some reason i just can't seem to make it un-grey. Set HDMI name to PC, Xbox is on expanded, HDMI Black is on Normal but nothing.

If anyone can help i would be truly greatful.

Without sounding like an ass,

Look around, there have been numerous threads recently about damn TV settings. If I or anybody else have to post any more of the same type up between now and Xmas our keyboards will break.

Firstly changing the name to PC won't do anything I don't think
It's purely a labeling system
these are the settings i have for my 360 via HDMI on my samsung 40"

Standard:
Backlight - 8
Contrast - 85-90
Brightness - 50-65
Sharpness - 20
Colour - 50
Tint - 50

Detailed:
Black Adjust - Off (can be different. Up to what you like)
Dynamic Contrast - High
Gamma - 0
Colour Space - Auto
White Balance - Default
Flesh Tone - 0
Edge Enhancement - On
xvYCC - Off

Picture Options:
Colour Tone - Normal
Size - 16:9
Screen Mode - 16:9
Digital NR - Auto
DNe - Off
HDMI Black level - Low
Movie Plus - Off
Blue Mode Only - Off
