Fluid passing movement?

I always seem to struggle to keep momentum when passing, it's almost as if my players have to stop each time they get ball before they move on.

I'm guessing this is where i should be using the RS more? Only problem is when i use that it seems to put too much touch on to the ball and knocks it a foot away from the player.

I've just click on using RT + LT to get the player in to Free Move mode which stops the old "wait till the ball comes to you" crap i used to get.

Is there any other tips people know of to help keep a more fluid movement when passing?

Anticipate in advance of the ball coming to you, and where space is tight, hit pass before the ball even arrives to do a one-touch pass. Otherwise, be aware of players momentum as quite often you can sprint right past people if their momentum is taking then another way. And shield the ball and jostle using LT.

I hold the ball up and wait for my players to make runs if the play dictates it and there is no space and no players to pass to.

I find it a tad scripted at times the passing then again i have just watched arsenal put 6 past blackburn so anything is possible i suppose

Re: Fluid passing movement?

When coming up deep in midfield with a dm or deep cm make him make an easy pass pref to another cm but when he passes press rb so he makes a forward run, now when your team mate recieves the ball quickly make him play it out wide, now with your winger on the ball u got three options either play it back, find the the midfielder thats made the run or pass it to your striker who then can pass it to your cm making the run. keep practising this type of technique and you'll carve up any team. I use a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 formation.

Re: Fluid passing movement?

I pretty much always use either 1-2's or trigger runs from players then using the through ball....lots of space can be created using these methods and can result in faster paced play.
