The Stress Test:A footballing Rivalry

A football rivalry is an intense competition between football teams . This pressure of competition is felt by players, coaches, and management, but is perhaps felt strongest by the fans.

Back in the good old days when My team was dominant, football games where the norm back in the days of me growing up it was italia 90 on the megadrive ISS on the snes and sensibile soccer on the amiga.

I played these games with my best friend since primary school, him being a Man Utd fan the rivalry between us is huge from our teams winning trophys to getting one up on pro evo its always good to win, we made the following progression ISS to Fifa to Pro Evo to winning eleven to Pro Evo i class myself as a gaming football consieur

Anyway to measure a good football game it needs the stress test,The stress test is going round to a mates house with a crate of stella. Forget Xbox live 10vs10

We both have been sitting in the pro evo camp since around pes3-4 Fifa always came out earlier it would be bought for 2 weeks and traded in for pro evo (without fail).
This year i managed to get a copy of Fifa 10 a week early so in desperate need of a new footy game we travelled along the usual road of getting fifa early then swap to pro evo,Now after playing both demos i prefered pro evo over the fifa 10 demo.
I have this evening changed that cycle to Fifa maybe i bought fifa09 on both the 360 twice and the ps3 to see what all the fuss was about i felt it robotic slow and drab IMO.
Tonight think we played around 10 games after about 3 enjoyable games we decided to play the pro evo demo after about ten mins i found myself wanting to play fifa again pes felt slow unresponsive and lacking in every department that made the series what it did for us fun quick rapid football will style and a skill that no other football game could top IMO.

I still up until the release of Fifa 10 regurlarly played pes09 i still felt this was the better football game, due to the stress test and being sociable with the boys this IMO what makes a better game not Real Names Hair cuts goal celebrations but the football underneath it all.

After playing the final build of Fifa 10 its polished and IMO much better than pes10 demo i found Fifa on fastest setting gameplay it was rapid i found it responsive fun and a complete joy to play and throughly enjoyed it as did my mate.

This year i can honestly say that at this moment in time Fifa is way ahead

I await Konami`s Final Build

Re: The Stress Test:A footballing Rivalry

Your Football gaming history and the way you have played it socially with mates and beer .... mirrors mine almost exactly !

I made the switch last year but went back to PES 2009 in March this year for a bit as it was cheap and a change, couple of months later I went back on FIFA 09 and enjoyed it even more than I did last October.

FIFA 10 is even more ahead of PES 2010 than the battle was last year, can't see me playing too much PES 2010 at all at the moment.

Shiver me timbers

Nice to see you have nearly converted after the message you sent me last week stating "PES FTW"

BTW can you check if Hereford's kit now shows the Cargill sponsor and that we're playing in white shirts and black shorts. In Fifa 08 and 09 we were playing in white shorts which bugged me big time...
