Fallout 3 Named Game of the Year

Golden Joystick awards today.

Not too much surprise there it's a brilliant game but check out the Xbox game of the year: Gears of War 2!!!! Are they having a laugh or what? Surely they haven't even played the game or if they have, they have very little experience of the gaming market IMO.

GoW2 stank like a three week dead goat and I never go into GAME unless I need a laugh (at their prices).

Its what people voted for tho you don't have to agree with the results.

GOW2 was good but there is better out there IMO.

Pity Borderlands was too late for entries, that would have been my choice.

Were all of the awards voted for? I thought it was just the main overall winner that was voted for?

I need to get Fallout 3 back out and actually get somewhere decent

GAME can sometimes be good but its hard to tell and absoloute best retailer

I am suprised at some of the other winners as well, such as WaW for the best Ninty game and unsure about GoW2 but dont know what in the time scale is better

I did one of the votes.

All the categories listed above were on the list with multiple choices to choose from. So I picked my choice from each one so yes all the awards were voted for.

Personally I love Gears2 (most of the time) but I'm assuming the award was for the campaign and horde as the mp needs a few years more work atleast. Oh well could be worse Game could win an award

Im STILL playing Fallout, its up there as one of my favourite games of all time at this point.

Spot on for me as well. If brought out DLC for Fallout 3 two or three times a year, I would play it forever. Well, at least until New Vegas comes out.

Would totally go along with that, it's and excellent game and is by far the game i have enjoyed most out of every game i have ever played on any platform...

I can't stand RPG's....none have ever grabbed me. That is until I played Fallout3 - what an excellent game!

I got the GotY edition for £27 and it is such good value it's untrue.

Fallout 3 is a wonderful game, possibly the most addictive game I've ever played, either that or early Champioship Manager games on the PC.

Is it not a contrdiction naming Gears2 game of the year on xbox if Fallout3 won overall GOY? Stupid awards.

I use GAME (online) for all my game pre-orders. The online prices are the same as any other online price, you get reward points (I have £53 worth) get 6% on quidco and I almost always get the game early.

I've used tons of different online retailers and always go back to them.

everyone who has time to play xbox should have fallout 3. takes a few hours to get into it, but after that its simply amazing!
well deserved game of the year. Just a shame the dlc wasnt better.

Still playing Fallout at the moment. Got the 1000 points on the main game, and there are still things I haven't done - redoing certain mission as good or bad for instance. Rationing myself on the DLC as New Vegas is still a long way off I believe.
